Game that everyone hates but you

Not so much now, but Zelda: Wind Waker. When it first hit most of the press was slamming it for art direction and it seemed most people were happy to run with whatever the professionals were saying. I loved it, though.

Away from that nothing really springs to mind. I really really enjoyed Fable 2 and have played through it a whole bunch of times, despite most people seeming to find it really average, but I don't think I've honestly played anything people have truly slammed as being honest-to-goodness crap.

I hope when you say oblivion, you mean compared to the people who played morrowind. It did lose depth, but its beauty saved it!

I liked The Darkness. The multiplayer was bland, lagtastic, and doesn't exist for all I care but the single player campaign was fun.

For me its Crysis. Everybody I know (with some brains that is) say that its just pretty graphics. To me it was a really good shooter and with a side dish of great graphics. The nanosuit and the free exploration (although that was ruined after the aliens arrived) were so much fun. It was definitely not just a generic shooter.

hear hear, I second this, I think Crysis was a good game, the graphics were just a extra.
I loved the diverse gameplay, you could sneak, run 'n gun, or use exploding buildings to your advantage.

in one word awesome.

OT: I loved Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Halo 3 and World at War. I can't stand the people who say the weapons are worse in CoD:W@W than CoD 4. No shit, it's set 60 years in the fucking past.

Too Human. It's strange... I HAVE to agree with just about every statement Yahtzee made in his review back then, but I still liked it. So what if there's generic power armor? So what if they used Norse mythology as a free idea bucket? I still liked the characters, the story, the look and the feel of the game.

By the way, at the end it becomes obvious that pretty much everything that happens in the game was newly invented by the developers, since the game starts with the Aesir extracting Balder from Helheim, which NEVER happened in the mythology. Looks like Yahtzee didn't do his homework on that one.

Well, ET is my favourite game of all time .

It's got amazing atmosphere along with the soundtrack, character development and storyline. Don't event get me started on the amazing graphics.

Don't know why people hate it.

It was definitely scarier, I enjoyed it more as well. If you can, pick it up it's only about 12 dollars now, and worth every penny.
