It became abundantly clear about 30 seconds after the intro had ended that I needed to throw out all my preconceived notions in regards to Yahtzee's work with ZP. Once I had done that, I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Sure, the skits were a little overworked (with the exception of the Duke Nukem Forever Design Team, which was the perfect skit to revisit imo) but the show was entertaining, and downright informative (at least with regards to Edge of Twilight). Also, Yahtzee's documentary on point and click adventures really did it for me. Maybe that's just because I find the notion of gaming genres so damn facinating, but I thought it was really well done.

All in all, I think we should support these guys. With a little practice and polish, this show could really be awesome.

Probably would be the best computer game tv show out there, which is something I guess.

I think it has potential. I haven't watched the whole episode yet but some quick thoughts anyways.
1. The boys need a studio with professional lighting, not a couch.
2. The show needs to add a girl to its dynamic. Ditch one of the guys.
3. The show needs graphics.
4. They should jack the format of the daily show. Open with jokes on gaming news, intercut with pre-produced segments/skits. Have a 5 minute interview with someone notable near the end.
5. Don't have the other guys laugh. It's unprofessional.

I shall use my growing influence and give my advice/opinion/the right thing:

With all series the start can be awkward for most. It's a new thing you want to break away from what else you did and you are unsure how to do it in a way that can please the ravenous hordes. But in time you get the swing of things and *tada* you've gained acceptance and comfort.

Now on to what is in it, I like the idea of the skits and the fact that it's continuous within the show leaving a possibility for a cameo in a later episode if it is loved by viewers. SNL would show this in use, but not necessarily the best skits by those who have experienced a more refined quality. Speaking of quality I must say it was good but just needed a bit more spit to be shined.

I believe in due time they will grow comfortable with this and the polish will show, for the moment I will support them. It's a genuinely good idea that had it knees buckle and needs some time to get over it.

I want my 28 minutes and 12 seconds back. Although I could watch Master Chief wander around and confuse people all day.

I like the idea and the hosts have a great chemistry (probably because theyr'e all mates) and i think that at the moment it looks a little like "Top Gear" for video games. which is exactly how they should sell it.

Lose/cut down on the scripted sketches. the MGS ones weren't funny enough to be running through all of the show, one would have sufficed. that said, walking around as Master Chief was pure, unadultarated genious.

all in all a solid pilot

I don't really know why, but the trio felt somewhat awkward to me. Maybe there are not used to do a TV show.
Maybe because they are sometimes drunk while doing their podcasts. It felt not improvised, like the podcasts do and I really like the podcasts for their "stand-up comedy"

True. There are two other co-hosts. Regarding that, I think they have a nice balance. Yahtzee's the total cynic, Yug is kindof a middle guy and doesn't hate everything japanese, and Matt (was that his name?) seems totally happy at all times and has more experience with MMOs.

They really seem to play off of each other. I guess the whole thing felt awkward, but I think that that will go away once they all become more comfortable with the camera.

I'd watch it, it looks interesting and funny enough and it's easy to tell that the people who run the show actually play videogames; most other game shows I've seen involve finding sponsors and throwing every word of praise in the dictionary at the sponsors.

Yahtzee looked incredibly awkward. I know he's trying to keep with his cynical and 'angry' image, but even cynical and angry people change their facial expression once in a while.

It was alright for a pilot, don't know that I'd watch it regularly though.
