Gamertags and other usernames you hate

As previously stated, people using _, X, Z, II, random numbers, the words shadow/assassin/MLG/PRO/Sniper or other symbols or any of that sort of thing drives me insane. Also when I see someone called something like "GOW3 Pro" or "MLG BLACKOPS" when I sit and play Halo: Reach, it just makes me confused as to why they want to play other games with that sort of gamertag.

My gamertag is the same as my username here, White Lama, and yes, I know how to spell llama, but I'm from Sweden and we spell it with one l and it looks better in my opinion, more clean or something like that.

The millions of rogues in the game with dark or silent or stab in their name, the other millions of deathknights with the word death in their name. The other people who think of a name, but it's taken, so instead of thinking of a new name they put those fucking retarded letters in it.

Yeah, couldn't agree more. I am a very serious person when it comes to naming my characters in role-playing games, up to points where I sit for 10 minutes with a finished character just trying to figure out a good way to name them.

The ones in Halo who make their little 1-4 digit code names "117", "0000" or "N00B".

His second name was Teatime.

OT: All the previously mentioned examples of obnoxiousness annoy the hell out of me, but nothing comes even close to names derived from characters in a book, a movie or other medium.

Then again, a friend of mine got a 3 days long ban in WoW for naming his priest AdolfHealer. It's funny, if in a vaguely offensive manner. I don't mind these kinds of names, as long as they're applied with caution.

Luckily, I got the simple "SmearyLlama" from the XBL random name generator, so I lucked out on that.
As has been said before, phallic/sexual references are always a pain. That said, my Tribes: Ascend username is SuperPatBalls (from an obscure joke made on GameInformer a few years back, though). Also, using ASCII art to make pictures of guns. I've only really seen this on steam, though, but I always facepalm.

This is the kind of internal monologue that I think every retard with a stupid gamertag has.

vl Coolguy lv : would be alright if it didn't have the vl's in it because someone already has "Coolguy". I'm not even mad that he thinks he is a cool guy, because that vl is so fucking stupid.
iTz Fitzy : Why do you have that iTz there. Is it your clan? Are you one of those idiots that changes their gamertag every fucking time you join a new clan? Do you really have to change your identity every time you join a new group of people to play with? Or are you just trying to be clever and say "hey, its Fitzy here!" and using "itz" instead of "its" because you're a fucking idiot.
L3git 5nip3r : Remember when spelling things with numbers was cool? I sure don't. That was never a cool thing, so fucking stop it.

But, in my defense, I was 13 at the time. I've since matured and taken a much better name. "Irridium".

Anyways, I hate it when people change their gamertags to a clan tag and another word, such as GCC SnipeZ (made up). It's funny when they then play a game with a clan tag setting so their name reads "[GCC] GCC SnipeZ".

Seriously, early days Guild Wars was so... disheartening? I can't even come up with the right word. Just this hollowness caused by disappointment in people.

Also there are things that are common on XBL where it's random adjective + random noun = username.

Oh, hai. In my defense, there's a story behind my username. Not a good one, mind, but a story nonetheless. As for why other people do it: probably because it (almost) guarantees that nobody else picked that name.

The hate only burns the people that are doing the hating. My name(s) have always been a reference to James Patterson's novels for over a decade. And I loved his novel Double Cross. So for the last 5 or so years my names have been: Cross, XcrossX, AlexCross, DoubleCross, doublecross, XdoublecrossX, and so on.
