Games that truly frightened you.

I'm so glad other people have said the first Condemned. I thought I was going to be the only one that said it, too. I played it in full daylight, with friends in the room, and I still shat myself and unloaded whole clips into shadows occasionaly.

Also, the first part of the new AvP Marine campaign scared me, the bit where you just have a pistol and you're trying to get communications up and running had me jumping at shadows and trying not to fire at everything that moved. After you get the Pulse Rifle, it's sadly less terrifying.

DIT - GAH! I forgot the Hotel in Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines. First time I played it, I was in 3rd person and to this day I swear there was something behind my guy that dissapeared if I turned to look at it. Not to mention that little girl who shat me up so bad I didn't play it again for over a year...

Condemed. Not so much as scared as jumpy. Except the bit with the.. umm.. what are they called? The dress up dolls at the front of windows that shops use to display cloths and such? Maniquens or something. Yeah when they surround you with fucked up faces and shit. Creepy

But when I was a kid, Alone in the Dark 1 scared the living shit out of me. The horse that starts rocking by itself. The knight in the hallway that comes to life and traps you. Shit like that used to get my heart racing.

And also when I was about 7, the face hugger (aka: protozoid slimer) from Duke Nukem 3D made me turn my monitor off >.<

The original Resident Evil scared the crap out of me. I don't remember exactly how old I was but I was pretty young (I'm thinking like 6-7 idk I was born in 90 so someone else figure that out =p) and couldn't play the thing myself because of how scared I was. I ended up just watching some of my older cousins play and even then I was pretty scared of the thing.

I don't why but the chase scenes in 7 Days a stranger always had me on edge, it's not nice being chased through small Hallways, especially whilst playing it at night.

Also Dead space is really scary when you're playing through the second time.

Why the second time? Wouldn't it be the first?

The most scared of a game i have ever been was playing the Bloodmoon expansion of Morrowind when i was much younger. There was this quest where you had to sneak through a cave and find an object called a Grahl Eye at the back. The cave was completely pitch black and was filled with these creepy wendigo style monsters. My character had no light or night eye spells so i went through with no idea what i was doing. When i found the Grahl Eye the cave filled with light and when i turned around there was three of the monsters right behind me. Scared the absolute shit out of me.
