Because for PS3 owners, it's the only really good MP exclusive they have.Rewold said:Uncharted got a loud fanbase...
Perhaps some people are like this, but I think there's more to it than that. Primarily because some people have opinions different to your own - I've seen people erect metaphorical alters to Half-Life 2 and never got what all the fuss was about.THEJORRRG said:Yeah, but if you make fantastic advertisements and show them a lot, then people get hyped and buy the game. If the game is bad, some will get rid, but some will defend he game as awesome because they don't like to admit they were wrong. If a game is average and very well hyped, it usually creates a huge fan base of people that will defend the game to the death (see Halo)OhJohnNo said:Games with good marketing but shitty everything else will result in people going "OH GOODIE!", buying, and then returning the game disappointed.THEJORRRG said:It's also true, in most cases.OhJohnNo said:That's a very cynical view to take.THEJORRRG said:Because they are marketed well.Mordwyl said:Popular games are popular for a reason.
That doesn't qualify as popular. People aren't idiots who will play a game repeatedly just because they liked the trailer.
(as an aside, Chum is Fum)
in my opinion it wasnt the hype for the game that got annoying, as much as it was everyone making the cake is a lie jokes over and over and over and over and over againShockolate said:Portal.
I'm a Valve fanboy and I'm sick of hearing of it.
It wasn't that great in my opinion.
I think you misunderstood the point of this topic but what didn't you like about half life? im not a fanboy or anything but i do think its a sold fps and im just curiousKiju said:Half Life.
...I played it. It sucked...horribly. I wouldn't sell it to anyone for a nickel; I'd feel too guilty afterwards.
i agree. i think its a fantastic game and few games can stand the test of time, like it can. however, with all the crappy spinoffs and and the fanboys acting like the game descended from the heavens, im just tired of hearing about itMajinDevil65 said:Final Fantasy 7... just didn't like it like most people and I don't like to hear it praised when I've played better.
Here, Valukar! Take this flame shield! You're gonna need it...Valukar said:Any of the Final Fantasy games (played most of them, didn't like any of them too much.
Mass Effect. Both of them.
Call of Duty. All of them.
Halo. All of them. They're entertaining to play with friends now and then, but otherwise... No.
KOTOR. I don't like Star Wars. Sick of hearing how great the games are when I'm not even the slightest bit interested in the franchise as a whole.
Mario. Tired of the fat little fucker.
Sonic. See Mario.
MegaMan. See Sonic.
Warhammer. Online, 40k, DoW, doesn't matter. Hated every single one.
Yeah... All I can think of right now.
Im just comparing the amount of enjoyment I got out of them each. Personally playing Halo single player feels like im kinda wasting my time, bland and dull. I only do it for "content sightseeing". Playing it multiplayer is like that time I nearly lost my big toe by getting it caught in a bike chain when I was a kid... unenjoyable.Captain Pirate said:I'm totally fine with your opinion on Halo, I just totally disagree.MakerOfRoads said:Starcraft 2 had tons of money and I'd say starcraft 2 was better than all the halo's combined.
I just don't understand how you can compare a PC-only RTS with a FPS Shooter series.
Starcraft 2 may be amazing, I have yet to play it, I just don't think it's possible to compare the two.
People say good things about the Kane and Lynch games? I was under the impression they were mostly hated games with a cult following.aussiechoco said:hitman: blood money
