Simple. A "girl gamer" obviously has something wrong with them. They will not be as attractive or socially adept as normal girls hence the gaming instead of fucking the football team. So guys view them as having lower standards thus a better chance for them to screw.
Personally, as everyone here knows, I hate, with a passion, "girl gamers" as anyone who tries to use that to get attention is just a... Well I will not continue but you get the idea.
They just always come off as fake and trying too hard to fit in. Like they should be treated like a queen by geeks since most other guys won't give them the time of day.

If a girl plays video games, she usually gets points on the personality scale - it tells me that she's probably pretty laid back, and has a certain level of geekiness which I find endearing in girls. However, if she's not physically attractive, then the whole "she plays video games" thing wouldn't do it for me. I guess what I'm saying is it would make an already hot girl even hotter.

Lava burns. Whale blubber just kinda smells and you can always have a shower afterward. But crossing continents to meet specific girls isn't something that I do because it tends to turn out badly and is very expensive. Besides, sounds to me like she's got her hands full...

This can work to your advantage... then again, some guys can get a little intimidated. I'm a girl (clearly) and I'm about to wrap up my degree in Game Design. The guys at work are thoroughly impressed, but the times I've had one of them ring me up and ask me to fix their computer because they're too cheap to call the repair shop down the road is thoroughly annoying.
That and there are those guys who just don't GET gaming. That, IMHO, is a little freaky.

I've had a really similar experiance. Hey I'm a girl you should just like give me stuff for free. It's really unfortunate that that is the vast majority if ones I come across. I know they all aren't like that.
