Pitch Black, a scifi classic in my opinion but I have only met two people who have seen it and one of them hated it

Both of these. And to throw a new one in there. The 13th warrior with Antonio Banderas

I didn't used to watch a lot of movies, and most of the ones I liked where previously named, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the dead, Evolution... I'll add "Men in white"(I think) to the mix, pretty much a parody of every doomsday movie caused by aliens

I'm gonna go with the final Matrix film. I really, really, REALLY don't understand why people dislike it. It's an absolute belter! I guess this could apply to the second as well though. I think most people have a "omg the 1st one pwns I liked it before it was cool" kind of attitude towards it.
Not at all. The first one had really cool action scenes to the point of extremes. The next two were dumb because they portrayed neo as a superman and went overboard with special effects that were really badly editted. The story wass not strong enough to support it.

OT: Laser Mission. It is pure gold.

Star ship troopers 2, just saw it and I think it would have made an pretty good stand alone movie by itself. The horror aspect kept me on my feet and it had an nice 80's horror flick kinda feel to it and I like that. The only thing I don't like about it is it does not advance the plot from the first film its like filler. If they made the movie like say "Star ship troops: Frogoten battles" or something like that and sold it off as a serperat film for the fans instead of as a sequel then I would have liked it more....

I'd have to say the "Boondock Saints". It's just so funny, yet no one I've talked to has ever heard of it. Another would be "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy".

Edit:
DAMN! Ninja'd

The 13th Warrior is kind of misleading too, thanks to having Antonio Banderas they sort of showcased him as the main character. But really that was only because of his star power, his character was really only in a supporting role. The big scandinavian guy was the real lead character, Banderas was really only there to get it on the big screen.

As for my selection, what I consider the most hilarious movie I've ever had the pleasure of watching (though I don't know how much being 9 years old biased me): UHF

I mean Wierd Al makes a parody movie where he plays a day dreaming loser that finds himself in charge of a local TV station? With the supporting role played by a pre-Seinfeld Michael Richards (Kramer) playing a career janitor turned TV star? How could it not be awesome!!! For anyone who hasn't seen it try youtubing "Wheel of Fish".

What do you think the greatest underrated movies of all time are? im gonna go on a limb here and say mine is Galaxy Quest. For those who don't know, its about aliens who come to earth, and all they know about humans were picked up from Star Trek. its hilarious and awesome, but for some reason no one talks about it. what about your favorites?
I love Galaxy Quest!

Transformers: The Movie From 1986; I thought it was really well thought out film with a fantastic musical score but no one else seems to.

On a completely unrelated note, There is a Levi's ad in my bottom right corner and on of the girls is groping the other ones bum.
