What will happen? It won't come out that's for sure. They'll be too busy making other things like Left 4 Dead 3 and whatever, I seriously think they just gave up.

Well, I can only say what I hope will happen.

Gordon and Alyx will finally stop fucking around and get together, we'll get to use the Portal gun and they'll send the Combine back to whatever god forsaken world they come from. I also almost garantee Gordon will be once again captured by G-man, put into status and reawakened at the beginning of Half-Life 3. Personally I don't wish to know what G-man is, but I suspect we'll learn this as well.

Honestly this seems like a lot to achieve in a 5-7 hour game. Hopefully ValVe have spent this time wisely and produced a game which is at least 15 hours.
