This is probably a good time to shed light on the fact that "sexism" is a term that really only applies when dealing with females, because males have been throwing sexist remarks at their own gender since the dawn of time and laughed it off.

And what does it matter what people say when they trash talk you? So you're singled out for being a woman when people trash talk you. And? That is ridiculous. If someone is getting pushed around on XBL because of their gender than it isn't "their problem" and I really don't see why we should harbor and protect that kind of stuff. It's a major problem considering how many women on this thread are actually saying that they might actually consider playing XBL again. And according to what you said, the report system doesn't really do anything, which is exactly why we NEED an overhauled report system. Also man, why exactly shouldn't we strive to better ourselves? Why should we just be content with allowing a bunch of assholes running around making the games less fun for everyone else? Why? Why should we defend that? I can't remember the last time I met a girl on XBL, and I have a pretty good idea why. Now then, I am tired and I am going to bed.

Because YOU have the option not hear those racial slurs or sexist remarks. YOU can just mute anyone you like. If you don't mute or block someone and you know they are harassing you, then you're choosing to listen to it. It shouldn't be 343's job to make sure you can handle online interaction. It's not pretty, but most people seem to deal with it just fine.

And banning anyone that says anything dirty or trashy just shows how how thin skinned we are. You will hear a lot of things you don't like from everywhere, but there's nothing we can do about it. Just learn to tolerate it. This entire thread shows just how much we much want other people to manage our feelings for us because we are either too afraid to or simply don't care.

I play on XBL alot, and its hard to find anyone actually mature about things there. (IE theres a girl on: OMG BACK DAT ASS UP FOR MA GIRL or TITS OR GTFO, or if someones losing on an online FPS, its surley gonna happen that that kids gonna call someone a black guy or a Jew as an insult somehow -_-) The fucking place could use some quality control for once.
