let me guess, you don't care because you're a goat eating my sandwich on the moon?O_O

OT:if I cared for humanity I wouldn't be enslaving the the world in fallout 3,owning every building in fable 2 and raising the prices,team-killing,killing random people in gta 4 and red dead redemption.

I think it's because most Escapists are not human. They are forum posting machines that pretend that they play video games, go to work/school, eat, wash themselves, etc.
This human speaks terrible and groundless lies! There is no truth to his claim that we are not humans like you! Ignore and scorn him, for he spreads division! Bask in the community of the site!

I will not enjoy the pleasurable human activity of a snack. As I am human, I can enjoy human activities such as snacking. This indicates that I am not an inorganic intellect created for deception!
Have a good and humane day!

OT: It's hip to be angry.

Well, I'm just going by what I see on here.
Sill, you are a bit quick to judge (as are most people here with their preconceptions of misanthropes). Myself being the grand exception to the pathetic cliché which you described. And since I exist and I am he way I am, there's bound to be other similar grand exceptions as well who do not conform to the pathetic cliché.

I know what you mean Gundar I was talking to this guy once and I don't remember why but I said that I like life or some variation of that and he said "Really! we have to put you on TV, someone who actually likes life" and I just thought like I know that was a joke but, it wasn't funny, it was just awful.
I wouldn't press the button on the box.

A lot of animal lovers? I don't know, a lot of people have odd beliefs, and feel humanity is horrible because we are so advanced. They claim we are blood thirsty, yet we are the only species that tries to save others extinction. (Even if we caused it or not.)

We are intelligent, and great, and we will achieve a lot if we do not cripple ourselves in the near future. I think if we can survive for just a bit longer, humanity will advance at such a great rate, even if small scarifies must be made along the way. We always pull through.

It's just a portion of Humanity I hate anyway. Not with a passion though, hating doesn't make you cool...

Maybe it's because a lot of them are still like prepubescent kids with nothing else to comeback with other than "your mom" and "gay" jokes.
This this and THIS!

Although my friends make pretty good ones

Example of Bad Ones I've Heard

"Your Mum is Gay!"

"Your face is gay!"

"Your gay!"

I'd post the good ones but at the risk of Mod Wrath I will not.

Probably it's because it's only bad people that make it into the news.
That's why I don't bother with it and like Russell Howards good news so much.

I think most people get fed up at some point(s)... But if you hold onto it and go around being a miserable prick, you've only succeeded at making yourself a miserable prick while the rest of the "sheeple" go merrily about their way, unbothered by your seething hatred, save the mild annoyance when you think you have something to say about the human condition.

I'm pretty sure this is search bar approved, but

Why all the hate for humanity on this website?
I know that its everywhere on the internet, but in the past few days I've seen it everywhere here! Like every other thread someone posts about how humans are cockroaches!
It wasn't so bad until I stumbled upon "the box" thread about killing a stranger for a million bucks. And the majority said they would do it happily? Sorry, but WHAT THE FUCK. I don't know, but it's just kind of depressing, you know?

So other internet people, how do you feel about this, or maybe somebody can explain to me why they hate humanity so, so much.

I don't hate it per se, but at the same time I find it a bit difficult to...really care about it. It's an odd feeling for sure, and I can't really explain it better than that.

Hating humanity is like Mac. It's cool while it is the anti-culture, but then when it becomes to standard culture, and Mac becomes the very "man" they defined themselves in opposition to, it stops being cool. Being positive for a time was the anti-culture (see hippies) but then it was overdone, and so for a long time now being a cynical prick who decries the state of humanity while contributing absolutely fuck all to it has been the cool anti-culture, (see HOUSE M.D. and the problem that you are referring to).

The good news is that eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later, hating humanity will be typical, and the rebellious view will be liking them. Just like non-conformity is "totally conformist"...

Either that or someone will look up the definition of hypocrisy, and/or hear the phrase "the pot calling the kettle black".

Because for whatever reason people around here are cynical, because it's cool and what not. Maybe it's because a lot of them don't have enough social contact.

Random musings on humanity. Feel free to disregard this as rambling.

The only thing that stands in the way of human ambition...is human ambition.
We have become civilized to the point where people do not matter; "We can always make more."

We uphold our most superficial values (beauty, wealth, or celebrities in general) while marginalizing the traits that actually keep our society running. Most people I encounter treat the essential mundane elements in their life as something to escape from (and indeed, perhaps is necessary at times); but the mundane is something to celebrate when you consider where our species has come from not even 100 years ago.

I just want to see the human populace to stop spreading themselves. By either death or infertillity and i really don't care if i am among the victims. It is nothing about being edgy or what the fuck ever. It is just something you have to think over a long time. And then you conclude that that Antplague you have in your kitchen is nearly the same as our populace. This world isn't made to house 6 billion people. And i don't think that fucking will go out of style in 20 years.

And i have problems with people in general. I just can't stand or tolerate most people. I hate humans because every time i see them laughing with their family of three, i think can't you just take one? It is crowded enough on this planet. And if everyone does it then soon instead of 6 billion people we will have 9 billion people.

You can define it as you want. But misanthrope is the proper word...
Humanity advances daily!
Humanity can achieve anything and we will well before it's "too late" be able to support our populations!
Technically, we still can. The entire population of the planet can fit (tightly) in Texas (eight people per normal sized house), and be fed by the farmland in the rest of the world.

because the human being is a terribly cruel, terribly hypocritical, and terribly ignorant animal. An animal, though it has the ability to change, simply refuses to.

I actually find a human's ability to exhibit compassion for one another to be a fundamental flaw of our species.

For example

Our education system is the primary way that we are brought up through childhood and it is how we are trained to become a productive member of society. If someone struggles in the education system, we devote resources to them because we feel bad that they might become a failure and we attempt to ensure that they make something of themselves one day. As far as I see it, these actions weaken humanity as a species.

If a lion can not adequately capture and kill prey, it starves to death. The other lions do not try to help it. The other lions realize that the starving lion's inferior genes would be a determent to their species as a whole and they realize that one less lion would result in less competition among themselves for needed resources.

Humans do everything backwards, instead of letting the inferior ones die off and allowing the inferior genes to be purged from the gene pool thus allowing us to free up more resources for the use of successful humans, we actually devote EXTRA RESOURCES in an attempt to help the failures not seem so pathetic, thus weakening us as a whole.

If humans would ignore the compassion that we have been taught to feel and actually operate in a more animalistic fashion I for one believe that we would be stronger as a species and have the ability to achieve so much more without fear of destroying our planet in the process.
