You know what's stupider?

My Polish teacher first said that she's going to pretend that "we didn't do anything during the first year, and we'll just repeat that stuff" (because my class has 1 year longer to study than the other ones - Spanish profile), then after 5 minutes she told us to write down things we must repeat BY OURSELVES.

5 pages A5. Over a year of work. One and a half 68-sheeted notebooks. No human without photographic memory or that funny disease that turns memories into colors and sounds would re-learn EVERYTHING. It's not only a whole school book from the last year, it's also every note we wrote down and every book we read. And one of them was so long and boring (700 pages, from the 1700s) that I promised to myself that I will never, ever read it again.

THIS is stupid. You wasted some time. I wasted a year, apparently. Not that I would use any of that "knowledge" now or in the future.

...But re-reading what you wrote (it was a bit chaotic), both are equally stupid - wasting time of a lot of people, even if it was just few hours, or wasting a year for over 30 people.
dude i dont think its the time thats the problem here its the 2 grand a pop and the fact that they where distracting the fire department from doing there job putting multiple lives at risk

It's a language though, so you should know/remember at least 50% of it (and if you are proficient or interested in it it should be 100% ;))

Give the bill to their parents.
Indeed, I seriously doubt they'd try anything so stupid again afterwards.

thats hardly fair did the parents bull the alarm?
A kid with the kind of mentality to do that is a kid whose parents didn't discipline/teach them properly. They get stuck with a bill that large they won't let the little bastards step out of line again. That's the logic.

I live in England, things like this dont happen here. I dont know why, maybe cos we have less people the chance of having miopic unfunny bastards in schools is less.

One psycho had my old computing teacher pinned against a wall. He also hit this other kid's head off a brick wall repeatedly, though nobody stopped it because everybody thought he was "sound".

I doubt that compares very well.

That happened once in my last year at school. It wasn't people pissing about, it was just faulty electronics. However, I got annoyed because it was all through breaktime and Maths, which was the only subject I really enjoyed (as opposed to Economics, which I didn't like as much. Sadly we had to suffer the full 50 minutes there.).

Idiots setting off fire alarms are annoying to say the least.

I've had experience of a similar situation when I used to work at the local hospital. People visiting patients would smoke on the corridor outside the ward (thinking it was OK because they were underneath a window) and constantly set off the smoke alarms, which would result in at least 3 pump engines and 2 engines with big ladders being scrambled automatically, as the alarms were linked directly to the fire station.

It cost the Trust at least 8 grand every time some idiot set off the smoke alarm, which it could pay but obviously the money would be better spent on hospital stuff rather than false alarms.

Tell the culprits about it. ^^

Maybe show them a fake obituary.
OOH! Fake obituary! I like this idea and agree with it whole-heartedly. Unless, of course, the result of their shenanigans was a real obituary... in which case, you should pound it into their skulls until they feel like the lowest human beings on Earth and end up writing suicide notes :D

Simple as: bill them. Oh and make it hell for them getting into any other school. Just generally make life for them even worse than if there was an actual fire. Guess some people just don't think straight...
