To be honest, that for me would be an excellent day. (as long as I wasn't the culprit).

Someone got expelled, good for school news and gossip.

Fire alarms constantly, I get to be outside instead of cooped up in classrooms plus less work needing to be done.

I'm not going into the car crash, but it will be good to shove in the faces of the culprits.

I have set fire alarms off in my school days, some of them were accidents aswell. Never been caught... ahhh

Sigh..This sort of thing happened at my school at the end of the year last year. Some dumbasses kept pulling the fire alarm DURING FINALS WEEK!!! This meant that the entire school had to rush outside and mill around while we had to wait for the all clear. so basically on some of our most important tests of the school year, we lost ten to fifteen minutes of our avaliable two hours to take the test and with those tests you need every minute you could get.

I'm glad this shit never happened with me when I was in high school. Though there was this one time... you see, in our high school, during the followup to homecoming we had Spirit Week, culminating in Color Day. Each student would wear a color for his grade (Freshmen wear black, Sophomores wear blue, Juniors wear white and Senors wear red). Unfortunately, this led to a practice called 'tagging,' in which a member of one grade would 'tag' another grade with paint. I sometimes got a little on me, but I never really got it bad. But one Color Day it reached its peak. Some schmucks were throwing acrylic paint all over the bleachers when we were outside, watching the parade. Later we heard the principle over the intercom, sterner and more reproachful than we ever heard him, and said that from then on, Color Day was banned. It all struck us as unfair at the time, but, looking back, I guess it was the right decision.

Um... Excluded? Is that like being expelled? I've never had that term being used for punishment in my school.

To my knowledge, yes. Excluded= expelled. Both are permanent.

sorry for not picking up on this. Excluded is not like expelled, It's more of a suspension. If you are excluded, it will be for anything from a day to a week, where you will be denied access to the school and it's grounds. So in escapist terms, It's not the be all end all of banhammerin's.

Really? Hmm must depend from area to area because where I am, suspended is the temporary denial on school grounds while excluded is the permanent banhammer. Anyway hopefully the people in the OP were permanently removed from the school for messing about with the alarms.

A kid with the kind of mentality to do that is a kid whose parents didn't discipline/teach them properly. They get stuck with a bill that large they won't let the little bastards step out of line again. That's the logic.

There's really only so much a parent can do. Sometimes its just the kid's fault.

I was raised pretty well, and I still acted up a bit. (Not to THIS degree, but still...)

Something happened when I was in Grade 8 when a few Kindergardeners kept pulling the alarm for a few days. They however, when caught didn't get a punishment from the school beacuse of their age. For some reason I don't know if that's fair because If I was stupid enough to pull it one I'd be suspended for a month or expelled all together. (Also they kept pulling the alarm when they were caught for a while too.)

I live in England, things like this dont happen here. I dont know why, maybe cos we have less people the chance of having miopic unfunny bastards in schools is less.

Lucky you, the year 11's at my school always do it towards the end of their year, they even had the courtesy to set it off while I was in the middle of an A level exam. -.- Fortunately, we weren't removed from the room.

Still, here in Aus they don't have fire alarms a student can walk up to and activate in the schools. I think most schools have the one trigger for the alarm in the office or something, but what if the office catches on fire first! AHHHHHHHHH!

Today wasn't a good day. before I'd even made it to tutor in school, The fire alarm went off. This was a bit worrying, as usually there isn't a drill until midday. So I made my way out to the tennis courts where the groups assemble. After a head count and an all-clear, we made our way back in. But before I'd made it 20 meters back into the school building, the alarm went off again, forcing me back to the assembly point. This went on and off throughout the entire first period. Throughout the rest of the day, there were intermittent alarms forcing us through the same arduous routine another 3 times that day. Here comes the annoying part: It was not faulty electronics, no sir, It was immature 3rd and 4th year students who thought It would "be a laugh" to pull the lever. The culprits were found and excluded. Now here's the sad part: The fire brigade has to respond if the alarm is activated, costing 2 grand a pop. During one of the incidents, There was a car crash in west calder, An area of my town a few miles from my school. As the fire engine was on it's way to aid the victims, It was recalled and diverted to our school, as it was deemed a high-priority. So the crash victims were left there, as the fire brigade was forced to investigate a non existent fire. I don't know about you, but that seems like a huge waste of time, resources, and patience. Any comments, or condemnations?

I remember kids did that in my school last year (maybe the year before), they got the shit kicked out of them cause even if they don't learn anything in their classes we need the teaching. punkassmofuckers.

I have to fess up to doing some pretty stupid stuff in high school. My friend and I used to look for people taking shits in school, turn off the lights on them, then throw a garbage can over the stall. But that is peanuts compared to what other people were doing in my school. No one ever jokingly pulled the fire alarm though. I expect people knew they'd get beaten for making everyone walk outside in our below zero weather.

Yeah, where I'm from, if you pull a fire alarm once, your suspended for 10 days and everyone hates you. Do it a second time, your expelled, everyone shuns you, and you could potentially be arrested. I don't think anyone older than 5 should be given the second chance.
