What I get a kick out of from all the "THE WORLD IS DOOMED!" people, is in most of them, it does not result in the total destruction of even the HUMAN SPECIES, let alone the earth. End of society, sure. Horrible living conditions, sure. But often, they result in the earth surviving just fine.
