I've been playing video games since I was five years old, which makes it... 16 years. And I was pretty much thrown in the deep end, what with the Sega Master System being my first console. Games like Power Strike II and the first Sonic the Hedgehog were definitely within the limits of what we now call, ironically enough, "Nintendo-Hard". Yes. I was brought up on those.

My goodness, Dragon Age: Origins suddenly seems so easy, remembering dodging about 40 bullets on the screen at once with a tiny fighter... or jumping through that horrible jungle in Sonic. Sometimes, it is good to remember.

We had an ancient computer that played Atari-style games when I was born, so I got on that pretty quick, if only pressing random buttons while my dad played on it. We had a variety of Spectrum and Commodore things after that. I distinctly remember playing snooker on the Spectrum at the age of three. My first console was the Sega Master System, although I was a bit late getting that, 1991 I believe.

I'm 26 now, so yeah, probably heading on for about 25 years.

About 22 years.

Played Donkey Kong on my dad's Amstrad computer.

Played the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, point and click RPGs...

The only generation I missed out on was PS1/N64 gen. Too busy playing music.

I feel old now.

Well, I believe I was four years old when I started playing. It was on my uncle's SNES, Super Mario Bros. Allstars.

Aah... sweet memories...

Don't really remember not having a games console. First I ever had was an Amiga, and something that had games come on cassettes.
