1. She is not naked. This is not why it is rated M.
2. It is much, much better than a government rating system.
3. Why the hell would this fall under the 2nd ammendment?

It is rated M for gore.

In addition, judging by your violent outburst, you shouldn't be playing a game like Halo.

I think our ESRB is a hundred fold better than what other countries have.

And by the looks of your post you really shouldn't be playing those games. I mean the ESRB is primarily for parents and I think they are really the ones stopping you.

My parents thought it was okay for me to play GTA3 and Diablo 2 before I had hit 7th grade and I think they made the right choice as I came along just fine.

And Halo 3 is rated M for Blood and Gore, Mild Language, and Violence. I think you got the wrong idea when you first laid eyes on Cortanna.

What game is LFD? Liberty Forces Divided?

And the ESRB is in place for a reason. Custer's Revenge was one of the things that caused it.
The Custer's Revenge comment there almost just made my day. I thank you. Have a cookie.

EDIT:I believe LFD is referring to Left 4 Dead, it really should be L4D... the 1337 was to say it is actually more accurate...?

The ESRB doesn't ban games. If the ESRB determines that a game is worthy of an AO rating, the console companies deny them since they have a no AO game policy. The ESRB is not responsible at all.

Also, ratings like Halo's M are rare. Undeservedly high ratings do not happen very often at all: I challenge you to find 5 games that have been rated higher than they deserve.

The ESRB is not evil: not perfect, but not evil. Their job is important, so if you're going to call for something, call for reform, not destruction. But not much reform is needed, really.

I am legally considered an adult in the eyes of the state, so I am allowed to play these games. I like the idea of the ESRB, stopping children from getting mature games, solely for the reason it keeps more of them off the multiplayer. I am sorry, but "screamers", "I-just-discovered-swear-word-ers", and "Heliums" are very annoying online.
I didn't know we were classifying them now. Very accurate as well. I feel like ones missing though...

I think there should be a rating between "T" and "M," like what they added between "E" and "T." The reasoning being that I think a lot of violent games are rated "M" because they're marginally worse than something the ESRB thinks a 13-year-old can handle.

Care to have any ideas on what to call this new rating?
Why don't we just steal Europe's 15+ rating..?

If you were really mature enough to be playing these games, you would not be ranting because you're underage. The fact that you're ranting and throwing a temper tantrum only proves you're not mature enough.

I'm 21.

I don't care what rating a game has.

EDIT: Also, you clearly don't understand the constitution if you think this falls under the second amendment.
The second constitution. As in not the Articles of Confederation

OOH!

Uhh..is it E 13+? Sorry to come off arrogant, I'm just guessing >.>
I was actually thinking about this before, in that everything up to T stays the same, but then you have a T 16+, M becomes 18, and AO gets bumped up to 21

And on topic I think that the ESRB is necessary so that parents don't complain about (or at least can't complain and not make themselves look stupid) so that the game developers don't start catering to the parents and continue to cater to the games. Well that and to keep children from playing games they shouldn't

Just because you mentioned Halo... Look at why the ESRB gave it an M rating. Nowhere does it say "partial nudity" or any kind of sexual content. So... you're wrong.

But anyway, the ESRB isn't the best there is but I'm glad we have it there. There would be even more kids on my headset...

I have little respect for the ESRB. Seriously, Halo received an "M" rating, yet Grand Theft Auto IV did, too. Something's not right with that picture.
