A while ago when I was still riding the bus to school, I found this really, REALLY shitty GBA game on the bus. I think it was called Power Rangers Dino Thunder. So I gave it a try and was amazed by how crappy the game was. I actually felt kind of sorry for how bad it was...but then I thought, wow I hate this game

Too Human.
As I first played it as a Berserker, I found it nearly impossible to use the game controls effectively with all the camera angles given so you can actually fight with some strategy in mind. I got to Level 4 and ended up screaming in frustation and vowing to never play it again. This year I tried playing it again but as a the shooter class and found the game to actually be enjoyable and extremely easy to beat. I'm not being killed as often and I finally figured out how to use the camera, and light/dark enemies to my advantage. So I don't hate this game as a shooter but I hate it as I'm playing a melee class character.

I hate all Final Fantasy games due to story and the whole complex ( for me ) magic systems.
I hated playing through most JRPG's except for Tales of Legendia cause that felt more like a fighting game like street fighter.

Rogue Galaxy. Waited for so long to get it, and it turns out it's an over-hyped, mediocre game. The start was promising, and the graphics are beautiful, but the game itself? Eurgh. A total rip-off of Star Wars, and sci-fi in general, and a boring, grinding story to boot.

Guitar Hero: World Tour. I don't care much for the series to be honest, being a real guitarist and all, but I do enjoy it every now and again. However, the new game, with it's repetitive drum notesheets, awful song sheet (minus a couple of golden sparks) and one hell of a badly thought out design with regards to the tap-pad on the guitar just made me think "I hate this game".

Couldn't do Devil May Cry 4 for very long at one time. I got sick of all the pointless mini-cutscenes, and the camera is SO bad in my opinion.

I'm going to force a bit more of it down so I can write a proper review for User Reviews, and on the vain hope things get better, but I see a >99% chance that it's going to turned in to help me pay for Endwar.

Call of Duty 4 and World At War have to be those games I completely hate playing. Thankfully I've pretty much given up playing them now, but I used to get really frustrated when playing them but I would continue playing them.

Almost every single game i've played in the last two years have made me say that at least once. I don't really hate the games i've played though. I usually say it for stupid reasons

skate 2 i liked the game until i started making me do stuff like a finger flip without a ramp. then there was the final skateboard magazine mission where you not only fight the controls, and lack of camera control but are also fighting off secrutity and the fat dumbass charged with keeping them off you.

COD world at war the burn em out mission on veteran.

ninja gaiden the guy before the final boss.

There are many, most recently I rented Afro Samurai, the fighting is fun for a while but the story is pretty hard to follow, something about a headband and lots of dead people. Music seemed to be the same for every combat situation and then 1 other song for when your not in combat.

GTA IV. I literally tried my hardest to enjoy the game, or at least look at it from a neutral standpoint. When I first heard/saw it, I thought it looked stupid. I tried playing it soon after it came out; the combination of terrible dialogue, forced accents, forgettable storyline, and cars that fishtail whenever you have the gall to try and turn meant that I didn't try it for very long. I then rented it later on, and gave it another good ol' college try. I progressed further, unlocked more content, and still hated it. All the old problems persisted, and then annoying characters (playboy x, brucie, etc.) made me have chest pains. Probably the worst thing though would be when you had just finished a mission on foot, and you called your contact....while the police were trying to arrest you! Nothing is more frustrating than having to redo a mission solely because the game handicaps you while in the middle of a police stand-off

Nothing but stepping on a pad to bad pop songs, I wouldn't mind this game as much if it wasn't now in high schools considered to be PE material.

Skate, Sega Superstar Tennis, Rainbow Six: Vegas

i have yet to beat any of these games.

i think i've uttered more obscenities trying to beat these game than i did when trying to beat "Gears of War 1" on Insane.
Skate? You dislike Skate? I, myself, never finished it but that was because of difficulty
not because I dislike it.
I didnt say i disliked the games, just saying i say "I HATE THIS GAME" alot when i play them lol.

Gears of War 2 on insane. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Gears of War 2, it's just that insane mode pissed me off to no end. I wasn't playing co-op, so my idiot AI partner wasn't even doing anything while I run up to a locust sinkhole and get taken down in two shots. I've shut off the game many times.

Also Guitar Hero World Tour has this one Downloadable song called the Storm and it is FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE and I've shut off the game in agony while my fingers were bleeding and trying to come off.

Usually when I scream "I HATE THIS GAME!" I mean "man this is so hard yet kinda awesome!" because for some demented reason I like games that challenge me. Grand Theft Auto 4 is the best example of this phenomenon.

If I don't like a game I won't let it get the best of me, I just delete it and never touch it again EVER :D
I have some similar situations happen to me. I call it "The Hitman Effect" but its a bit different for me. Its where I play a game and say I hate it and plan to never play it again only to play it again later on and find I like or even love it. Hitman: Blood Money was the first to have this happen, hence the name, but Splinter Cell: DA and Armored Core 4 both had the Hitman Effect for me.
Good I'm not the only one.
Usually (unless of course the game is glitchy and broken) I like games that are challenging.

Usually when I "hate this game" that means there was little effort put into it by the programmers. Therefor I don't usually say it in a heated manner but rather as a moan.

A good example is No More Heroes: it looked like a good game and every review I saw/read was favorable so I thought it would be great but it turned out to be boring, repetitive, and tedious. It wasn't difficult at all, I hate it because it was just such a poorly planned shell of a game; as if they didn't finish making it before chucking it onto shelves.

Mass Effect.

'Twas a Massive Fail

probably the slowest paced action game I've ever played. too much talky not enough fighty. and even when there are fighting segments, it's like trying to navigate a rhinoceros through an overcrowded pool full of small children.

i keep trying to play it, but the people at BioWare need to realize that if we wanted to read endless amounts of dialogue we would read just books
No, its an action RPG.

It is allowed to have lots of talking in it.

For me:

Little Big Planet, Haze, Gangland, Spore and finally Assasins Creed
That doesn't mean it's allowed to suck
