I've seen some dislike on the mako, and it confuses me. It's pretty easy to use, it has weapons, it has booster jets on the bottom (I've dodged many a rocket thanks to those.) and all in all, with some exceptions to corners and backing up into objects with negative slopes, I've never had a problem.
So I guess I'm asking you guys, "Why did you dislike/like the Mako"
[sub]In case you can't tell, the Mako is the car in Mass Effect 1, from which they sadly got rid of in Mass Effect 2.[/sub]
[HEADING=1]ALSO! PLEASE NOTE![/HEADING]
For everyone that's asking, the Mako is replaced by a scanning minigame, and then a "Coordinate" is found, from which a shuttle launches from the ship and flies down. From which you then explore on foot.
Essentially killing the open world areas you could explore.
The wiki said something along the lines that you were just sort of dropped into a spot and you walk from there.
Can I get a source (if you have it of course, if not don't worry. I just want to read more about it.)
[sub] Just a note, I'm laughing at the num nuts who are saying "Isn't it Mako (Actor)"NeutralDrow said:dududf said:Dare I say... It's a trap?NeutralDrow said:Shoot. This is neither about the shark, nor the beloved actor.
I realize you put it in the OP, but not having something incredibly specific that uses general language listed in the title is kind of misleading.![]()

Oh, I knew about the Hammer head I. I thought it'd be used for something else, but thanks that clears up my curiosity.Altorin said:they're replacing it with a free (if you bought it new) DLC shuttle. Really?EspirituExterminatus said:I quite enjoyed it. Of course I swapped to the 360 controller to drive it then back to mouse to shoot shit but yeah. Trying to control it with mouse and keyboard was fucking annoying.
Yes because both these posts were so valuable and informative to the discussion at large. No wait they were the other thing. The opposite. You know, wastes of good bandwidth.Zeromaeus said:^s69-5 said:Oh, I thought Mako was the energy the Shinra used to power everything. Nevermind. that
Yeah, but ME was one of the best titles ever released for the 360, so of course 360 fans will champion the sequel as a reason to have the system. Regardless of whether or not you like the genre it's still a fantastic achievement and a fantastic game that should be recognized as such.s69-5 said:Actually no Piddy, I don't like shooters so ME is really not my type of game. Plus I'm very tired of people holding up ME2 as if it's the second coming of Christ. (You know the feeling, I've seen it with GOW3). And if I did care there's always the PC.TPiddy said:... Most of his posts are decidedly pro PS3 or Anti-360. We've discussed this before and we're both fanboys of our particular system, so I would just call it playful ribbing.DustyDrB said:Ugh, can we retire the word "fanboy" for a while? Read the comments on the IGN review. It's basically "lol @ xbox fanboys who think you have uncharted 2 beat", "SCREW YOU PS3 FANBOYS!!" "FANBOYS FANBOYS faann boi".TPiddy said:... And I thought that Mako was that set of ridiculously sharp knives that can slice a pineapple all the way through like a hot knife through butter.s69-5 said:Oh, I thought Mako was the energy the Shinra used to power everything.
