I get annoyed by the ones advertising mods for MW2.

On a related note, my gamertag, which is my username with a space is often missread.

I'm often labeled as:

"CuthBORTON"
"COUTHberton"
"COUTHBORTON"
"CRUMBLEBERRY"
"CUMBUCKET"

I have had all those slung at me by people called things like "X_X-EPICZSNIPEZ-X_X"
I feel you pain. it's pronounced Sov'vulf... Not Sowolf, not Sooovvulf. Also I'm not fucking Russian, Scottish or an Irish Mexican.

My Gamertags usually consist of Star Platinum, AbsoluteVirtue18 or Griever18.

I hope those don't piss anyone off.

OT: Most of the Gamertags I've seen that piss me off are incredibly racist and I don't dare repeat them.

Most Gamertags are pretty aweful. But some are pure gold, like micjacksonsghost or scootypuffjnr. Mine is Rozza88 (pronounced Roz-zer ... as in the slang for policeman), but (sorry for painting most of you with the same brush) Americans keep calling me Roser.

I am amazed by the amount of people who cant pronounce my gt. Almost the same as I have here, Epitome22. Serious its a simple English word but the emphasis they put on it all teh time make sit sound like Epi tom.

Well, since I saw a few along the lines of:

xXSUPAPIMPSHOTXx

LilCubbie96

xD34THBL00D4NG3Lx

I think that people need to be more creative.

Oh yeah, and ILIKEBACONALOT is NOT FUNNY. You're just throwing yourself out there, saying, "HEY EVERYBODY! I MAKE UP RETARDED GAMERTAGS JUST TO GIVE DRUNK FRATBOYS A LAUGH!"

I quite suck at gamertags, I usually use the same nickname for 15 years as it's [usually] never used. I'm so unoriginal that I even registered the trademark and use it for my company :-D
Haha, that's quite a tag!

I've held this name for about 1 1/2 years now, it's full version for 2 1/2 years now and intend to hold my title for as long as I may.
Ironically, I originally picked this tag after trying randomly for 20 minutes to find any username that was available on AOL (at the time 14 kbps was "high speed"). :-D

I hate the way people (usually Americans) read your tag as soon as you join a lobby and then try to make some joke or nickname out of it. It's like they have nothing interesting to say so just react to whatever is put in front of them. It fact it's not like that, it is that.

It seems the sky is falling. I constantly see threads like this pointing out the stupidity of the earth and claiming that therefore, the world is terrible and that the bastions of the last "intelligent" people have left. Could we stop it with the false sense of superiority?

On topic, Penny Arcade's Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory: self explanatory. As for the people that annoy you mute them its not hard. It really helped me relax during one particularly annoying round of COD6.

And why OP, does being British (or whatever) constitute "annoying"?

It's xbox, didn't that give you a clue to the intellect of the people on it? For all the people about to say im a fanboy and stupid shit like that, I have all 3 consoles and a decent PC.
Please don't lump us all in with the ten year old idiots on there, I frequent XBL and It's not often I come across all these bad people everyone keeps talking about.

Mines the same as on this site here.
Don't lump us :(

I'm just RajiSama. Just something random that's a little bit related to me. *shrugs*
I think that one sounds cool actually.
Lemme 'splain. Raji is meant to be a loose translation of Rad (which is a nickname). Sama is an honourific title. More respectful than San.
Mines a play on words referring to Samus Aran from Metroid.

Hi, DustyDrB here. My gamertag is...DustyDrB. Edgy, right?

Some people are genuinely funny, though. I've seen some avatar/gamertag combos that were just perfectly clever.

The gamertags are quite stupid. If I see any one with 'xXx' or 'Sniper' in their gamertag I set myself a goal to beat them at what ever we are playing at. No real reason other than their gamertag.
Mine's Badminton Boi. It is what it is because the people I know know that I play a lot of badminton so my gamertag reflects it. It would have been Badminton Boy but the guy with that name is a mate of one of my friends. I played him and he beat me, at badminton, but I played him on CoD and got the revenge I needed.

Hot damn...when 14kbps was "high speed" for you, I was learning the wonders of Velcro Trainers and that at the age of two, being able to hold a full conversation will scare the shit out of old people.
