All gamers have a hidden secret, a burning passion which must be expelled. I'm talking of course about a horribly, horribly bad game. The kind of game that makes you wish you could go back in time and slay the entire team of developers. If you could go back in time, which game would you stop from being made? Please detail your answers and the reasons for your terrible rage.

Mine would be Superman 64 which I bought when I was young and naive. Enough said, I hope I do not need to list my reasons for this one for they would stretch beyond the heavens and the earth.

Halo. Good bye fanboys! They bug me and although I don't have a beef with the game, I dislike the fanboys.

Right. I love the Breath of Fire series, and Breath of Fire 4 is hands-down one of the best RPGs that Japan ever excreted. Then Dragon Quarter happened, and it was like FF8 for the series - they took a lot of risks, both conceptually and with their gameplay, and while the result was at least moderately entertaining, actually playing through it was made torturous by the hideous Dragon Meter thing (that penalized you for RUNNING), and it sold like syphilis-flavor ice cream. The series is in dead, in all likelihood.

This thread has been done. And I'm yet to run into more than four of these mythical beings. Despite being told there are hordes of them out there, I'm yet to meet a fifth.

Halo haters, however, can be found in dozens with nary a glance.

You're one of the lucky ones. Halo fanboys swarm around me and everyone I know like some god-forsaken plague.

Really? I have never met one myself, I mean I like halo though but it's odd my friends that got halo and now don't like it got it on release, where as I got it a few weeks later.

I'm going to go with ET the game. It would be interesting to see if it's removal would have lessened the crash of 1985. Probably not, but who knows.

None of them.
"I don't like game X" isn't sufficient reason to deprive others of it.
Even Big Rigs was worth a quick laugh.

Though I am a Dawn of war fanboy. So maybe I don't notice other fanboys?

Can't be. I'm in Sussex/Kent, and I can't see any of the buggers out my window

Final Fantasy
The most famous and influencial JRPG of all time.
[sarcasm]Nice.[/sarcasm]
And we found the fanboi.

yes it influenced all the other crappy so called JRPG's, witch need to be recatagorized for they are not even RPG's , but lowly Japanese animation games or JAG?s for short.
How chic, replacing y with i to make the other seem more immature.

So because you dislike a genre, you wish the game series that popularised that genre be destroyed?
Hey, I'm not an FPS fan! Lets get rid of all FPS games because if I don't like them, nobody else should either!
