I think that this is a major problem with the the forums on this site. If someone bashes a religion and openly calls people with faith low lives or retards, it's just business as usual. But when someone tries to defend one of these beliefs, thats when people should get offended. When's the last time someone has made a post bashing atheism just for the sake of not agreeing with it?
So, it ok to call other people names because to everyone else don't care? No, if you want to prove something to someone, give him facts, proofs, evidences. I'm atheist and anyone that said i'm wrong because i'm stupid didn't prove their point but only their own stupidity in the process. Insult is telling the other person he's right!
I won't call name to anyone that disagree with me. To me, near death experience is nothing but a small cerebral activity resembling dream. So if your brain isn't splatter on anything, you'll only meet the version of god you see in your mind... Until you return to the nothingness you came from!
Meh... belief in a creator deity isn't so far fetched when you come to think about it. I mean .. lets take the scientific viewpoint ... there once was a whole lot of nothing with a whole bunch of stuff, stuff exploded .... eventually creating the universe we know and love ... then things eventually lived in this universe (on Earth procaryotes abouty 4.2 billion years ago like viruses, then Eucaryotes 2.8 billion years ago ... like bacterium)
And eventually from all this something we will inevitably have either cold death (Big Freeze) .... or (my personal theory) the 'Big Crunch' where the energy from the big bang will eventually be offset by the gravitational pull of other celestial bodies which will eventually collaesce at a new universal central point again ....
You can say theres no 'God' but in the end you can't prove it ... isn't there a *chance* that a race of aliens from another Universe ago (from another Big Bang event previous) that managed to transcend age, and all energy potential to beable to recreate the Universe anew?
Surely that would be a 'creator deity' and there's always a *chance* it could be true

Give n that the universe is as big as it is, and yet is comprised so full of wonders that to completely disregard the fact that our universe may simply be the creation of a super race that has transcended all physical dimensions to achieve absolutism of conciousness isn't *COMPLETELY* out of the question now is it?
Maybe God is a remnant of a once thriving alien race from the last universe who wanted to see if he/she could recreate the universe and try to recreate his/her people along with it ... so after 6.2 billion years we have .... us?
It would explain a whole lot of stuff to be honest.... and it makes a lot more sense to me then "Earth got lucky" ... especially when you take the geological history Earth, it's amazing anything was created here in the first place....
I mean for BILLIONS of years you had NOTHING and then BOOM you had something? To be frank, saying 'God did it' makes aloty of sense ....
