If you were an alien civilization, how would you invade earth and why?

Unless their civilization is doomed and they need a new planet to live on, there is zero reason for them to invade.

After reviewing their largely unprotected (if vast) data network using a simple stolen Komputer from the last landing in that field, we figured them out quite quickly. Also the early scout reports mentionning huge "mechas", magically powerfull individuals called "Heroes", and something about their primitive komputers being able to interface with our ships withing seconds and cutting all power to all the fleet (how ridiculous! All ships are independant!) are unfunded, they are all fantasy. THe individual longpig is actually pretty fragile and prone to panic unless they are trained warriors.
To invade the Yuumons lord? The key for a quick victory is a single acronym; EMP.
THeir dependancy on electricity, linked to the massive weakness of their infrastructure against orbital bombardment and the complete lack of proper emp-shileding devices would wreak havoc with their civilization.
And its cheap to implement too, a few EMP bombs scattered around the big cities and major power hubs and they are petty much down to their dark age in a day.
Heck, they cant even intercept our ships reliably. Just make sure to bring a few anti-missile escorts... or just stay in higher orbit.
A few laser blast from ships in orbit would cut the last surviving power lines. From there, they lose all prodcution capacity and mos of their infrastructure within a week, most communications will die soon too. Some will be repaired, but not enough on that scale. THen panic will spread like wildfire in their population causing even more chaos. They are pretty much begging to be invaded, lord.
Once invasion is complete, we should use them for the sheer cunning that these long-pigs (Yuumons) shows up, take the best as a slave-race of enginners/designers/mechanics/artists (their perceptions are quite different from our own, wich make their art quite interesting). Maybe soldiers too. They seem to have war in their blood, comes naturally to them.. just not war from WAYYY above their heads. Many collectors would be interested to get a few of each color too.

I'd definitely use an infectious, sex-based biological weapon. People love screwin'; it'd spread like crazy.
Maybe some kind of highly contagious, incredibly poisonous, excruciatingly potent aphrodisiac spores. Send a cloud of 'em over the whole planet. People get infected, bone and infect others.. A few weeks later everybody's vomiting up their internal organs.....
As for why? I'll leave that one up to the historians. If any survive, of course.

Depends on what I wanna do - if I want the Earth safe aside from the humans, bioweapon designed to kill all homosapiens - gun down with whatever super guns we have the survivors.

If I want the planet and the humans, either pretend to be friendly and slowly inflitate all human governments. OR show how easily you can destroy humanities cities and force the humans to surrender or die.

Well my plan would be to take over human minds and force them to kill each other, then when all the resistance is wiped out I'll come down and collect all those I deem worthy (or delicious) enough and then I'd leave for my home world. Thus leaving all my endoctrinated to die because the link will be broken.
I would send my mighty Sangheilian bretheran a message to unleash our purging fleet. We would burn the exterior of your insignificant 'Earth' until it is but fire and molten magma. Then we will send our glorious army down to pick off all the pathetic stragglers who squat in fear in their own filth, barely worthy to look in our face, let alone fight us.

i would invade earth seeing as we puny humans have a tendancy to destroy each other on a daily basis might as well get rid of us all togethor. I personally h8 humanity, i mean inndividuals r fine but when ppl start grouping up they get more and more retarded as the group gets bigger. kinda like how ants work but in the opposite direction
If I wanted to destroy the planet then I'd send Asteroids towards Earth. Getting rid of humanity alone would be much more difficult. You could try a virus, but since aliens would be unfamiliar with our biology then it may take a while. If I could I would steal the Ebola virus, or such, and then seed it from space.
