I'd hand Atlus the money and say Persona 5 better be god-damned mindblowing and Fuuka better be in there.

Either that or an affectionate parody of JRPG's set in Ancient Greece.

I would like the landscape of WoW but where you could claim territories and defend them with a clan or solo if you think you can manage. It would be hard to implement because you won't always be on but it would be cool. I would imagine smaller places would be fought over a lot but more developed clans would probably trade land and attack a lot less.

If you were willing to give me a billion dollars however I would go for The Oasis out of Ready Player One.

I lack the imagination or desire to play anything that comes out of my own mind, so I'd donate money to my favourite developers and indie devs (Suda51, the Dead Space guys, the Super Meat Boy guys, Hideo Kojima, Yakuza guys, Shin Megami guys, etc.) on the condition that they continue to churn out quality new and unique IP's, or simply good additions to the series they already have.

I'd also donate a massive sum to Square Enix so they can remake FFVII proper (fuck you, haters, it's still the game that changed my life) on the proviso that they fire and publicly humilate the moron who made FFX-2 and FFXIII, by making him admit he makes awful, awful games and has almost single handedly killed the series.

I wouldn't donate any money to Valve or Blizzard, no matter how much I want their new games, cause I don't think it'd make a difference. Half Life 3 isn't going to come any faster if they had 1 or even 2 extra billion dangled under their nose, damn them.

Hmmm... how about an infinite, procedurally generated steampunk RTS with equal focus on exploration, diplomacy and combat with the primary mode of transport/exploration being customisable airships and railways? Which of course have to be constructed to link resources/towns.
And for added customisation to the functionality of airships/towns, recruitable hero characters to serve as captains/diplomats (akin to the recruitables from HoMaM).

A singleplayer Warcraft experience? Including all events prior to WoW, Warcraft III, II, and I. Going all the way back to the mythos titan period. Shit would be fucking epic.

The near future, around 2017, oil has risen to ridiculous prices and every country is living off reserves. In the wake of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, America and the UK are taking heat from several countries in relation to "organised war crimes" they forced their troops to commit in a bid to retain oil. The UN disbands and tensions rise between America and Europe, starting with a ban on trade between the EU and America and ending with a small series of conflicts.

Distrust starts to emerge between certain European countries, whilst Asia takes a back seat. England is kicked out of the UK, which now makes up Wales, Scotland and the entirety of Ireland. American surveillance into European parliament shifts distrust between certain European countries into outright war, war which in the light of America's grip on oil reserves, the European countries lose.

In a combined effort between several European countries to evacuate all French civilians to neutral countries, England, who had managed to stay out of the conflict at this point, manages to attract the ire of America's ever-growing force. Left abandoned by the UK and with all their allies defeated, England can only hope to evacuate their civilians before it's too late.

TL;DR - basically a losing war on England's behalf between themselves and America. A mixed force of European soldiers would effectively defend England, giving them enough time to ship civilians before the real conflict starts. I'm thinking a third person shooter, team-based, heavy emphasis on the narrative... you'd be able to switch between characters in a sort of Full Spectrum Warrior type set-up, with more of an emphasis on combat.

Can I break up the money over multiple projects? Or can you fund all my ideas? I'm not sure which one to pour money into first...
As many projects as you can think of, mate!

(this is an idea I started a long, long time ago... back at the dawn of Battle.net in the late 90s)
I'd want to build a multi-genre, multi-client science fiction war game. You could play it as a real-time strategy game, complete with custom maps, resource gathering, full zoom function from satellite feed to ground level, et cetera. Hell, if I could get the rights, I'd want to base it loosely off of Supreme Commander. That would be the big, overarching basis for the game. The twist is that you could log in with a different client, and play the part of a unit within the RTS.

Players logged into said clients would choose what unit they want to be, then queue up to be built by an RTS player, first come, first serve. They could play anything from a combat flight sim to an action slasher, and the RTS commander's orders would simply appear as objectives on their HUD, to be obeyed or ignored as they see fit. One could also attach a leveling system to accounts, giving access to better equipment, more complicated skillsets or small buffs to accuracy, speed, et cetera to someone who has made X kills (player kills being worth more than AI unit kills... and players being indistinguishable from long range without taking time to scan them) as a certain unit.

Not sure how well it would do... but hey, I've got a billion dollars to blow on a long-held dream, right?
Now while I believe that idea would make an extremely epic game that I would definitely play, there are definitely a few fatal flaws in that plan. Unfortunately there are a vast majority of douchebags who would just forsake everything the commander tells them. Then you would have the commanders who would have no damn clue what they're doing and send their troops to certain defeat. It's a great concept but it's a concept where the player base can drastically make or break the game.

Then donate the remaining money to the 'orphaned by WoW front' to save the poor kids who have been neglected due to WoW.

Oh man! I never really had an idea in mind. Hmm...I guess I'd make a game like Fallout 3 or Skyrim that takes place in a more modern setting, something GTA 4. Where it plays like Skyrim only with cars and in a city where you can access most if not all buildings. I'd get a top notch company to put it together, Bethesda games are always way too glitchy, so I'd invest lots of money into playtesting and creating a new, better and more flexible engine to run the thing in. Not totally sure on who I would have write it yet, I'd have to look into it before making a decision. I imagine it being a little restrictive in some areas, in order to make the story flow better, the tutorial type early levels would take place while your character was still in high school. Also it would be cool if there was some type of multiplayer mode, not attached to the main game but like a smaller story that has to be played in co-op.

With a billion dollars? Holy shit.

Uh....

In pr-eproduction we would establish a unique and awesome science fiction universe with tons of professional sci fi writers in on it. From there we'd embark on the most ambitious WRPG ever created: An open-world, co-op, space opera, first person action RPG with the most dynamic quest system ever created with insane amounts of narrative tangents for said quest lines. Blow a few mill on hiring on the best voice talent there is and make sure every single NPC you spend any decent amount of time with is a unique and believable person. Also, make some important NPCs develop with your character and the narrative in a realistic and satisfying manner. The ultimate goal would be to make the ultimate role playing experience to end all RPGs.

Production time: 5-8 years minimum.
So, Mass Effect as Intended?

OT: An MMO zombie survival horror game, similar in some respects to an upgraded Urban Dead.

It's more of Mass Effect as intended married to a TES style open world (or galaxy I suppose).

my RPG concept in a full 3D Elder Scrolls style engine
-or-
a mech sim game where you can pilot famous mechs (Gundam,Megas XLR,Mazinger, etc.) and also customize your mechs (custom weapons, paintjobs, etc.) with both a online multiplayer and a single player story.

A million times this!

As for my game, I'd like to make a fpSWORDFIGHTING game! Well think Call of Duty and all the other FPS's but only bows/crossbows/swords/axe/plate armor etc.
