Generally speaking, I just hate playing with everyone. Don't get offended if I don't want to talk to you; it's not because you're young, it's because you're human.

I personally don't take too much offense to small children if they do not annoy me. If they do, I like to have fun with them. Sadly, I haven't a mic, but text chat, with the right amount of wit, works just as well! Although, a lot of my witty-ish retorts involve me following up what I just said with "...like your MUM!" And people call me silly for saying "mum."

Wankers.

As long as you're responsible, mature, play fair and don't stoop to homophobic insults, racial slurs and bragging about doing our mothers, then I'd gladly play with you. Just because there are 13 year olds who act like that, it doesn't mean all of them do.

I don't hate any gamer for their age. Age is irrelevant. What matters is sportsmanship, conduct, justice, commitment, discipline, etc.

Oh, I'll just dislike you for your "Hey! Know the one in a million not annoying kid? That's me, so because i'm not a douche guess what! All those other kids must not be and let me slap a generalization I don't fit (ince again 1 in a millions exception) So I proudly flip off everyone and try and seem special.

Well no one cares your the one in a million NOT annoying 13 year old. When you prove the entire majority of the problem is wrong...then flaunt. Till then...I'd say 99 percent of the old squelch/ban list in games are all juniors whoms testicle have not dropped yet.

So what was the point of this post? Seriously?

Perhaps, it is WE who are spoiling the online experience for the YOUNGER children, with our instant stereotyping of children, who hop into lobbies and sound like they are four, as obnoxious little idiots. Perhaps, it is WE who are...the squeekers.
Perhaps?

I'm 13 years old too and I really hate those annoying, racist brats who make us normal, nice kids/teenagers look bad. They're a disgrace to our age group.

Didn't old X Box live used to have a voice privacy feature that hid what your voice sounded like by making it deeper? Like when news shows have someone on that doesn't want to reveal their identity.

Alot of people these day's play multiplayer. And i'm pretty sure we all have our story of some fourteen year-old(or younger) screaming in his mic about you actually killing him. This doesn't really bother me much, considering there is a handful of adults who can't coup with this either. But for some reason, adults have started to tell me I shouldn't play multiplayer because children ruin the online experince. Now, before I go on, I am fully aware that most american children are idiots, and that most idiots have mic's.But just because they are massive idiots, doesn't mean I am, so don't put me into this spectum of idiocy just because you feel like it.Some of us can handle ourselves without a cell phone and the Internet. We mostly live in Arizona.
and california. I'm 14, and I've heard more adults say "WHAT THE F*CK! THAT WAS A HIT MARKER TO HIS MOTHERF*CKING HEAD!" then I have kids.
well, halo 3 is an exeption, and a story for another time ;)

The internet is going to be the salvation of the human race. Everything is archived. Things I posted eight years ago are still floating around online somewhere in a few places.

Why could it be the salvation? Because every kid that gets full of themselves and believes they have the world figured out will only need to look back a couple of years previously, and read what they sounded like. It will do wonders for an individuals wisdom...

Ah who the hell am I kidding, nobody is going to do that. They are going ignore everything they don't want to hear about like they always have.

Bah! I played halo when I was 7 and it hasn't effected me in anyway. The oppositions lawyer proved that there is infact no correlation between video games and increased violent tendencies.

Us under appreciated youth just have the deal with this. I know a 13y.o on wow who is one the most mature and effecient raider I've ever met. Tend to find people from around 20 and up will require you to follow their rules or get out.

I just decided to incinerate my mic ( I really did) from all the shit I got, my voice is crackly and a little high but I got better experience than the asshole with the normal/deep voice or I cant worn the the team of our flag is missing while they have there heads up there ass, and my friends would ask "wheres your mic" I would say i got rid of it because my voice really effects the game THAT much to any and all people. that ruins games for me.

just dont let it get to you, mute them if possible or just dont respond to there insults as that is what fuels them to keep attacking you and eventually they will just play the game and be an asshole somewhere else.

This sounds like paranoia, I hate moronic kids who come into games and yell "fag" and other wonderful words or try to order the group around, the group of people that have been playing for half a day. Then WHINE when the group doesn't follow "orders" and blames the team for him dying.

That's when it's annoying.

I don't mind 13 year olds online. I don't mind the voice.
I do mind the attention seeking mumblings in a microphone just because they have one. I mind that they call themselves 'PWN your dead!' or 'guess my age' and still whine when they get killed.

Good thing TF2 has a mute function. But I'm naïve so sometimes I give people a second chance. Which results in: 'Hey Folio!' "Yes?" 'Hey Folio!' "Yeah?" 'Hey Folio!' "WHAT?!" 'Hi.'

Now the Russian kids, oooh! Russians are cheeky fellers. So I hear 'bemhere, baskoetzirashnaski! Gorbatjov boemoeshka~' or whatever. Then he spawned friends who tell us the same high pitched babble. Someone reacted by saying that they should speak English in an American server. The tyke had the cheek to say: "I don' speak English, you speak Russian."

Muting time! Ah, sweet silence.

Not that I listened to the box either but I think a lot of people cared when they made an official organization and a rating system covering video games. Just sayin'.
