I always play the DM. :D

Aside from that, I like the stealth. So any class that has higher stealth or uses Charisma well. So Rogues, Warlocks, Bards can be fun, etc.

I completely agree also if it can be taken it is meant to be taken. also I love exploiting their weak point for massive damage with my mad bow/gun skills.

In FPS, I usually play the explosives expert. Think demoman/soldier from TF2 and engineer/anti-tank from the Battlefield games. Blowing up those big bad tanks that send all of my team mates running for cover just puts a smile on my face.

When I play RPGs, I'm usually playing as either a tank or a melee DPS. Tearing enemies to shreds up close with a two-handed weapon is just oh-so-satisfying.

Depends on the game, but generally I like to be balanced. I like being a physical character, who knows how to use magic (or what passes as magic e.g. Force, Biotics, etc.). That way, I can be useful in almost any battle.

For RPGs (which is pretty much Morrowind and not much else for me :p) I tend to choose someone who's fast, good with magic, but can also whip out a melee weapon if he needs to. For TF2 I'm usually Scout. I like my fights intense ^^

Yeah, Im that guy... the mage raining down unholy amounts of damage from the sky in the forms of lightning and fire (I dont like ice, go figure)... the one carrying a claymore? In full battle armour? Yeah, any time it lets me, I go Arcane Warrior... I might not be the most skilled warrior or the most skilled mage... but you get past the spells and the big sword will cleave you in twain...

In general, I'm fairly spread out. I can hold my own in close quarters at long distances, and in hand to hand. I usually like sneaking, but when that fails (as it usually does), I take my best weapon and get to work on the enemy. I only use minor magic (mainly for healing), and in fallout NV I'm a good lockpick, but I'm dumb as anything.

Healer healer healer, normally rouge on single player, but no matter the genre, I love to play as the healer.

I tend to like heals and shields and buffs. Or explosives. Both fit my reckless behaviors.

I play the dude who is impossible to kill, yet can one hit half of the enemies (or at least do substantial burst).

Ya I damage-tank (in WoW terms I generate 90% of my threat through sheer damage output, as opposed to taunts), the ultimate of pvping warlords. I do this in anything I possibly can, minus fighting games.

I dont like to be just the warrior who hits things, i usually pick something similar tho such as a paladin or druid in d2 or sometimes rogue depending on my mood, im not a fan of playing mage tho, but i spose i just ry whatever type looks the coolest or most fun, in d3 i know i will immediately be the monk if that says anything.

The first time I play a game, my character will always be the warrior/soldier/tank class. They're simplest, and let you get a feel for the game. After my first playthrough, then I'll usually play a different class.

Glass cannon mage, makes things interesting, especially alone.

Melee toughguy chops and hacks and not much else, basically the only skill or tactics is using a few special moves and healing potions, the rest of the time you tend to plug away at enemies, one slash at a time. If an enemy is weak, the toughguy wins, if an enemy is strong, the enemy wins, simple as that.

Mage needs to treat a single goblin as a potentially deadly threat that needs to be dealt with carefully, lest he be hacked asunder. However, a mage may also run up to a high level badass and expend his highest level spells one after another, dealing out enormous damage before the badass can respond, leaving the enemy blown to smithereens but leaving himself defenseless.

I tried Neverwinter Nights as a fighter and a monk, couldn't bring myself to go further than the first chapter with either, but finished it happily as a druid, then a wizard and enjoyed both runs.
