I like playing the glass cannon/sheer dps or support.

Frankly why I love playing as a rogue in Rift.
Want DPS? Got it.
Want to be a glass cannon and ruin someone's day before they know what hit 'em? You got it.
Wanna play support and buff your team mates through the toughest of battles? You've got it.

Depends on the game I guess...though I tend to favor the rouges/ thieves/ assassins. Sneaky-sneaky, stabby, stealy, disappear into the shadows, rinse and, repeat.

I will sometimes be a support mage though. I think that's what the sentinel class in Mass Effect is meant to be. I don't do healing though...although I was a decent Doctor in TF2 when I ran as one...

If there is an option for a non combative pacifist that uses charm and intelligence rather than brawn or back-stabs, I will go for that every time. For the 99.999999% of games that don't give you that option, I go for brawlers as I hate multitasking in games.

Usually close combat, probably tank if theres an option for it. I also played a healer on WoW for a bit, dps sucked.

I'm either the Sniper as I love the "thrill of the hunt" if you will.
Or the Mage as I love being the dude who's over-powered. U jelly? ^^

I guess I tend to be either the most sneaky, sinister class or the biggest, most straightforward powerful class. In WoW, when I had an account, I had an Orc warrior and a Blood Elf Warlock. In TF2, I usually play Sniper or Spy, but sometimes I play the Heavy. In Fallout 3, I specialized in speech, guns and explosives. In Fable 1 I specialized in agility/dodge moves, but in 2 and 3 I focused on firearms.

Interesting trend here. Wonder what my psych professor would say about that...

Depending on what kind of game it is and my knowledge about that game my gaming style can completely shift from assassin style to crazy tank style.

I'm the heavily armed and armored berserker. I want a weapon in each hand and the enemy in pieces at my feet.

I like to be what the party is missing. Usually the tank or the healer.

I've only played DnD once, though, and I wasn't a big fan of being a healing class, as it seemed much more boring than melee classes. Maybe it's a lack of exposure.

Warrior. Believe me, I prefer the magic swordsman approach or skillful melee fighter (think fencing) but I'm always better with a warrior

I'm a mix between the stealth guy and the tank guy. I often take the stealthier approach to things, but I'm always prepared for a bloody confrontation.

Think the Tactician class from Killzone 3 (the beta, anyway).

I always choose a warrior, guess I just like straightforward play, no faffing about debuffing and enemy to kill it.

I'm the dickhead mage casting kickass elemental spells and neglecting his healing duties while my party gets chewed on.

I'm usually one of two, a mage or a ninja type character who throws weapons. I like dealing damage from afar and hiding from fights rather than getting right up on my enemies.
