Let's play "How many people can I quote in one post"!
For me, that'd actually be something old. Back in the day RTS was just about all I'd play. I did try re-installing Red Alert 2 recently, and had a couple of skirmish games, but haven't touched it since. It was still fun, but it couldn't grip me.poiumty said:Looks like it's time to try something new.
So buy yourself a PC and start playing strategy games.
Interesting idea, and I do actually play a MUD that I've been craving lately, but I can't do that for the same reason I can't try WoW; no internet access at home, and as things stand right now, I won't be able to afford it anytime soon. I had no idea there were free WoW servers though, how does that work?JonnoStrife said:I thought I was too. I'd go to pop in any of my games, even for Trophies (And I'm a trophy WHORE), then I go.... Fmeh.
Try Playing an MMO. AS weird as it sounds, its mixing it up enough for most people. Don't stay long and don't pay (I do not condone Illegal Downloads, But you should play WoW on a Free to Play server). But go. Have Fun. Come back to consoles and go... Fuck this is actually pretty engaging!
Going out and getting pissed, while fun, is also way more expensive than a gaming habit. What I spend on games in a month would just about cover a single night of drinking. Stupid high prices and high alcohol tolerance. Paintballing is even worse, I went for my mate's stag do and blew about £150 in a day! At least gaming has the advantage of being something I can do at home, without spending all my cash.dathwampeer said:If you honestly want some advice. Just go out and get pissed for a few weeks. Or go do something active with your mates, like paintballing or something. Always seems to work for me.
You're on. We can paint it yellow and have crazy adventures!mikecoulter said:If you're truly bored of gaming, please, buy a submarine and invite me along...
To re-iterate: I do want to play. I just can't seem to do it for any length of time. I'll spend the day at work thinking about playing Red Dead, but when I get home I can't force myself to play it. I wouldn't mind if I had better things to do, but I just end up watching shit TV or re-reading old books.TailstheHedgehog said:But that's me. Play whenever you feel you want to, not because you feel inclined to due to the self-titled 'gamer' persona, otherwise you'll end up running yourself into a dreary pit when you could be spending your time excersicing or baking or something...
