I personally think everyone needs to shut up about Avatar. "Oh noes, a popular movie, let's say bad things about it and claim it is racist and stuff!" "Yeah dude! That is like awesomist idea ever dude! Righteous!"

Bothersome.

Watch James Cameron's Aliens then realize that Bungie referenced their ships off of most the ship in that

Yes, because Halo had such an original storyline so obviously, upon comparison, Avatar is an obvious rip off.

Why does he actually care?
He has enough money to actually pay someone to not care for him.
Couldn't have said it better myself xD
That was the exact thing I was going to say. I am a little confused how this movie is anything related to halo? Like did all the fanboys get together and say "this movie has the theme of space in it. SoB is copying Halo!"
Seriously guys, this is what I do in my spare time.

I'm surprised how everyone here quickly dismisses and insults the fanboys when there is one question: Who the hell said that Halo fans were criticizing Avatar? I sure have never seen or read anything like that.

Sounds completely made up.
You know what, that actually sounds reasonable. I wanna see the source material for this G4. Jeez, has your guys ratings gone so low that you have to make shite up.

Whew, thought the Halo hate (Hato?) was mostly gone as of a few months ago. It's ok people, let it out. Rage at a solid, popular game. If the fanboys are as thick as you say, frankly they won't give a damn.

Anyways, good point, Man-Who-Posts-Above. Where did any Halo fans claim there was any blatant copying?

Not to mention that the basic idea of Avatar is basically the same as Pocahantas or Dances With Wolves. It's an old story in a shiny new 3D wrapper. But I don't blame him for criticizing the fanboys; Halo is not the Alpha and Omega of entertainment.
Style, not story. Dances and Pocahantas look nothing like Avatar. Or Aliens, for that matter.
That's what I mean, it's a whole new method used to tell a well-known story. And of course Aliens is completely different from all three of them.

How in the seven levels of the gaming after life is Halo even remotely comparable to Avatar?

There is no connection/comparison between the two.

Which aircraft would those be? I don't recall any of the Drop ships from ALiens appearing in the Halo franchise... but I did see a whole bunch of Halo Hornets in Avatar..
the Halo hornets that look alot like miniatures of the vehicles from the terminator franchise?

How dare he rip off that great completely original story from Halo.

They both have glorified B-movie plots. The difference is that I beleived Avatar's world more. But at the same time Halo is more fun. They're both suited for their individual mediums
