I'm shocked by the amount of people in this thread that don't speed or are pretending that they don't. Or are all of you that bastard in the left lane going the speed limit? If so, stop it.

that's called the passing lane. sure, you shouldn't be sitting in it going the speed limit, but you shouldn't just use "Oh, I'm just passing these slowpokes" as an excuse to drive recklessly.

Now, I'm all for sticking it to the man, but crying like a ***** to get out a fine is pretty low.

Next time try something a little less risky, like taking a piss up the side of a club, or spray painting the word "****" in big orange letters on a bus stop.

I don't think I implied that it is an excuse to drive recklessly.

Edit: And I'm pretty sure I DID imply that it is the passing lane.

I'm going to break the trend here and not say something like "Good job you broke law and got away with it. I'm better than you."

I guess I can't really blame you, considering the cop shouldn't of just let you off the hook for 30 over. The whole whimpering thing is a little weak though

Those are the ones who should be getting tickets. How many people out there seriously don't know the purpose of the left lane?

I remember the one prick cop that gave me a ticket on my birthday. My only ticket to ever and my license was suspended for three months.

Congrats, you got away with endangering others and yourself.

I have never been in trouble with the law so I do not have my own example.
I have a couple issues with your post:
A)Why post about avoiding the law if you havn't "been in trouble" before?
B)Why would you post this unless to announce your own obvious superiority? We don't care about your ego, keep it to yourself.
C)Your tone speaks your lack of ability in reading the mood of the thread. The thread was about avoiding the law; not being so drastically boring that a cop would fall asleep talking to you.
D)If you don't have an example, why say you don't have an example? Why post at all?
E)There's more but im too busy fucking coke and snorting whores to continue.
Your one to talk, you didn't contribute anything to the topic, hypocrite.

OT: Knowing the cop got me out of a ticket once.

I mainly observe the speed limits not or close but for about 7 years when I was 20-27 or so I would speed constantly to work (about 20 miles each way) every day. I even ran red lights and stop signs if there was no cross traffic (Hey I didn't leave for work till last minute!!).

I never got a ticket, pulled over or in trouble in any way. This was in Fremont CA on a main street (fremont Ave) primarily and I have no explanation at all for how/why I got away with it.

I'm 37 now and have been driving for almost 20 years and STILL have never gotten a moving violation (Knock on imaginary internet wood). I've been married almost 10 years now though so my speed racer driving is mostly gone at this point. I drive maybe 10 miles over the speed limit sometimes when not paying attention and don't always stop all the way at stop signs but thats about it.

Still in the last year my best friend who drives less then me and follows the laws more has gotten 2 tickets. I think I have some kind of anti-ticket aura or something.

Well done. We're all very proud of your ability to cry like a girl and break the law.

A few points.
1: You are not awesome.
2: Please tell me that's not 30 miles over.
3: The cop should be punished for not doing his job properly. If you were emotional to the point of not being able to drive properly he should have fined you and made you catch pubblic transport home not drive off to endange the lives of other further.
4: What is "Hard Lemonade?"
5: Bragging about breaking the law on the internet does not make you cool
Cops have discretion. Look it up. So he was doing his job.

You have never been in trouble with the law? Really?

OT:
Good going, I suppose.
It's despicable, but you seem to be happy and I applaud such incredible lack of morals.

On a more serious note though - What are you doing? It's fine that you got out of a ticket(Who wouldn't want to do the same?) but why are you bragging about it?

Yes, I've gotten out of a ticket myself. I told the cop a bullshit story about how I was racing to the hospital to see my mother who had fallen at home, and was in the ICU.

Am I proud of this? Fuck no.

Am I glad that I didn't get a ticket? Yes.

Am I ashamed, still? Yes, a little.

On another note. People here need to calm the fuck down. The guy broke the law - who the hell has never speeded before?

Calm down there guys. Jeez, when you get together you're like a wild pack of disapproving mothers, sternly warning everybody and everything in your path.

Watch yourself.
Woah! Are you crazy? Do you want to kill us all?

On Topic: I'm kinda with the majority here, you are working off paying a speeding ticket, and you are still speeding around? Might want to learn from your mistakes. Not saying people don't speed, but some people can't afford to, Seems you are one of them. Save it for later in life I guess.

Er... Way to whimper and cry like a little girl, I guess?

I'm actually too young to drive but I did once see my Dad get out of a speeding ticket by knowing the Cop if that counts?

I did 20km over in a 60km zone while I was still on my provisional license, you know what I did? I took the fine of $250, paid it and also lost 3 out of 4 demerit points. I also learnt my lesson and haven't copped a fine since.
