Mass Effect PC, now I know it was out on Xbox360 yonks before it came out on PC, and I waited and bought the Steam version, and while it wasn't as deep an RPG experience as say Baldur's Gate 2. I did enjoy it a lot, enough to be on my 8th or 9th play-through at present anyway. ;)

Dawn of War 2 was quite decent, but I enjoyed the original more.
Defense Grid: The Awakening is a lot of fun too, really good Tower Defense Game, bought it when it was on sale on Steam.

Quite looking forward to Mass Effect 2 to be honest, I hope they have the decency to release it at the same time as on Xbox.

Fallout 3 is a keeper, no question.
:p I liked Fallout 3 while I played it, but now that I've beaten it there's no reason to go back. It's just a bunch of dumbed down run and gun action with horrible dialogue scripting and a main plot that's full of holes. Besides, the ending absolutely sucks, and it doesn't mention a damn thing I did. After playing the other Fallout games where all of the main areas had dynamic endings attached to them, that was a bit of a gip.

Hey I think heard they're making a new Hitman game, anyone have any info on that?

Mass Effect was pretty good, it just wasn't my type of RPG. For me, and this is just for me, it came across as shallow, empty, and boring. Other people loved it, and I'm sure there's just something about the theme and the pace of the story that puts me off, so I'm not criticizing the game. I did feel that the game was a little too empty, that non-interactive areas were too vast and void, but that could just be because I explore every nook and cranny.

Old Game, not much different from Civ 3 and very repetitive. I still enjoy Civ titles and played Civ 4 for weeks, but it's hard to go back to after getting burned out on all the previous Civ games.

I was hoping for mention of some under the radar game that I had missed, one with lots of Depth and Replay Value.

At first I was going to reply explaining why I don't feel that the first three titles you mentioned are worth buying, but then I saw you mention Stalin vs Martians, Grand Ages Rome, and The Path and knowing that all of those games got horrible reviews it became obvious that you were trolling.

The last two PC games I bought were Braid, which I've reviewed on this site, and the Prince of Persia Collection, which I have yet to play due to various other things I'd like to do.

EDIT: Namely, finish this goddamn Jade Empire review.

As for Infamous... let me get something straight...

I have to go spend $600 bucks to get a PS3 to play it on, then another $60 bucks for infamous, then if I want to play it online I have to spend another $120+ a year, and half the companies that make games are going to try to gip me by charging $30+ bucks worth of DLC for the games I shell out $60+ a pop for already? Am I the only one who feels screwed over by this buisness model?
Um, discounting the 399.99 price point of PS3 right now, I don't recall you ever needing to pay for online on the PS3 at all seeing as it's completely free. And InFamous doesn't even have online...

But as for me, I would really like to play most of the games on STEAM but sadly my PC isn't exactly up to snuff to play even the Half-Life 2 demo. But that may change soon!

Empire: Total War With it's limited units that are shared by alost all nations, it's extremely British biased unit descriptions and history, it's incredibly lacking AI, it's often broken unit behaviors, the unrealistic Alliance/War type behaviors of AI empires, and the fact that getting pushed out of your home theatre magically means that your entire empire falls apart... With all that taken into account I'd have to say that Empire Total War was a slap in the face to Total War fans, and hardly worth buying until it's bargain binned.

Oh so Online is free on PS3? GREAT! Now if the price drops another hundred bucks or so...

$400 is an outrageous price for a gaming console, especially in today's economy. SEGA Sony already gets royalties on game sales, so it hardly makes sense. Microsoft lost money every time the X-Box was sold, but only on the unit, all of that money was made back and far more in game sales revenue.

Red Faction Guerrilla keeps advertising in the botton corner as I type, and I must say the previews look pretty good. When it's out on PC I'll wait for some reviews and if they're not tanking I'll try the game out. I wish more PC games would let the player play as a female hero/villian, but it's all good.

*edited* Damn it, SEGA has been on the mind since I commented that Sonic thread.

I like Ubisoft`s new style..download the full game of torrent..play the SinglePlayer for free and if you want MultiPlayer buy the game for an original serial key. This should be applyed by all the other companies, because people cand download it anyway.
Of course, if they want us to play for the SG and have no MP, the story should be damn good! (Fallout3, TES: Oblivion, Assasin`s Creed, inFamous, Bioshock).

At least, this is want I think would be the best option.

It's not that outrageous, considering what you get. I could give you many charts and graphs, but in all honesty if you compared what you get with the PS3 out of the box to what you would need to buy for the 360 to get that stuff (like buying an adaptor to get online, the LIVE subscription, a larger harddrive, ect...) then they are pretty evenly priced though the 360 is probably more expensive in the long run.

The problem there is most games that have depth are single player games, and not every game can be a multiplayer game and succeed because not every game can generate enough people wanting to play it online.

It's still pretty outrageous. We're talking about $400 bucks just to be able to play a game in the first place, then another $60 bucks for game. Look I don't need all that extra crap, I just want to play the damn games. When SEGA Sony (fixed a typo) is charging me an arm and a leg for this multi-media mega-machine that does nothing my computer can't already do in the first place (aside from play PS3 games) then they're alienating me as a customer. Free online and PS3 games, that's great, how about selling a stripped down model with JUST THAT and not all this extra stuff they're charging us for?

You know if there were a PS3 emulator that would just let me pop in store bought PS3 games and play them on my computer, my computer would definately be up to the task. I'm not encouraging piracy or asking anyone to make one or anything :)

Fallout 3 got a 100/100 from whatever.

Is it a perfect game? No.

Reviews=pointless dribble. The true reviews come from the people that actually bought the game to have fun and not to do a job.

Stalin vs Martians is a fun arcade RTS game and thats what it is.

If your gaming life is ruled by reviews you have the 360/PS3 games with plenty of them god like games.

Yup you're trolling.

So only positive reviews count huh? Ok, GameFAQs is full of people who bought the game to have fun and not to do a job, and guess what, a lot of those people had major problems with the game and a lot of the reviews reflect these problems. Read LucaviX's review, it reflects what most of the people on the Fallout 3 Forums have constantly been saying. Look I played Fallout 3, I bought it before any reviews were out, and I've already given my thoughts on it.

Go back under your bridge now, please.
