Jason had walked away from the others, not having been given any real assignment which he took for meaning that he was on his own. Nobody was going to hold him back, so while the Renegades attacked, Jason would head up to speak with Minus, not to kill him, but merely to speak with him.
He watched the others as they began planning, and Jason left them to it, walking down into the main lobby of the Renegades HQ.
My exams are over, so I should be back to my normal posting schedule.
Jason turned, to see Alex standing in the hallway that led back to the conference room.
"Yea, my names Jason... I believe I told you that my name was Soul Reaver last time we met? I was also the one who incinerated you." Jason said, nodding and then turning back to look out the doors.
"So what job did Oliver give to you?"
"She was an old friend of mine... how do you feel about that? Knowing that you killed someone? If you continued on with us, I guarantee that you'll need to kill more." Jason asked, crossing his arms and looking at Alex. They looked far too young to kill someone, yet they had.
"And what if you die in this battle against Minus?" Jason asked, uncertain Alex knew what she was getting into. The dark whispers came back into his mind, tempting him to leave the others and go off to fight Minus on his own.
"It must be a terrible existence, always coming back no matter what you do to stay alive? I can relate to you in a way I suppose, I nearly died once. In fact, to most medical officials, I was dead." Jason said, thinking back to the night after his battle with Gray.
"It is, and I was brought back only to kill an entire city... great way to start a new life huh?" Jason asked, not really caring if Alex answered or not. The voices in his head were getting louder, and despite Jason's attempts to push them away he couldn't.
Ah, alright... I didn't see that when I read your post, but alright.
"It'll be fine kid... what group did Oliver throw you into?" Jason asked, curious as to what Oliver could have put Alex into. She didn't seem like a fighter, and there didn't seem anyway Oliver would have put her.
"That sounds rather boring actually... I'm part of the Search Group... I wish he'd just let me go off on my own, I would level Minus' entire base in a second... but Oliver seems to be afraid of what I may do." Jason sighed, snapping his fingers and watching as a dark black flame sprung into existence.
"Nothing, I'm just aggravated. Well, go about whatever you were doing, I'm sure you have more important stuff then talking to me." Jason said, turning away from Alex, and letting the fire die down.
