Camping is not noobish, or unfair in anyway, it is using a proper tactic of war and if you can't find a way to fight back against it then it's your own issue, everything else I agree with (depending on what you mean by noobish weapons)
By noobish halo weapons he is refering to the Sniper/Shotty combo.
Actually he didn't. Those are power weapons, of course they are powerful.

He mentioned the noob combo. Dual wielding a plasma pistol and a magnum, walk around fully charged, one shot from PP takes out shield, one shot from magnum kills.

On topic: Camping is hardly unfair or gamebreaking.

If a game is broken by camping, the game is bad.

Everything on that list bugs me a lot (mostly quickscoping)
Quick scopers claim to be the most skillful of all players (yes some of them are very talented). YET time and time again do I hear "The snipers aren't powerful enough" or when you ever go into a private match lobby the host sets it to minimum health, if they're so skillful why do they need the lower HP? (yes I understand hitmarkers can be irritating). Not only that but you wil rarely see quickscoping in black ops the main reason I hear from people is "It's too difficult..."

Drop Shotting doesn't bug me in anyway since it's a counter....to ridiculously long knife lunges :/

I got to agree with you, but c'mon. If you can't adapt to the "tactics" that are actually legitimate in a game, then why bother keep playing? But, damn if I don't agree with you if you bitching about the Assault Rifle in Halo 3.

I do realise it's possible to kill someone who's camping.

Now if one guy had thrown a grenade or flashbang (Assuming the vid was based on CoD), Freddie would have died.

So yes, lots of people who get killed by campers deserve to get killed. But I just find it annoying sometimes, especially when it's your teammates getting raped by the guy with the M82.

A prime example from my experience would be COD:BO, on the map Villa. There's an upstairs window overlooking a courtyard and street area. There's almost always someone camping there and shooting up the other team.

Normally that's fine, they're crap. But sometimes you'll find one who's planned it out, or a pair with a good strategy, and they'll throw back your grenades and mow down your teammates and take a fair few people with them before they go down.

But hey, it's a legit strategy right? I've even done that a few times myself. But I've always made a point of jumping down and joining everyone else back on ground level after a minute or so, because I enjoy running around with my machine pistols more than camping.
Dude that's a terrible spot to camp but people always do it, if you enter the courtyard on the side with the care you can kill that guy 95% or so of the time. Norly hitting someone on that ledge with the commando is easy peasy. In fact, memorizing all the best camp spots will allow you to rack up a mountain of kills if you just travel between them removing the campers.

Once again, I'm not saying all campers are n00bish faggots. I'm saying that there are people who will do nothing except sit in a corner and fire their chosen One-Hit-Kill weapon at whoever walks past.

It is a legit strategy, however in a lot of situations it can really bring the game down for everyone else. Especially in games with huge, open maps and spawn points in the middle of those huge open maps (I'm looking at you, Halo).

I get Objective Camping. If you need to defend a flag or a control point, camp away. That's why I mentioned that the corner-camping was only really a problem in Deathmatches, since Deathmatch games generally move quite quickly in all the games I've played.

By "Noobish" weapons, I meant unbalanced weapons. Anyone saying "It's balanced, it's in the game, it's not noobish" has completely missed the point. I'm sure that anyone in World War I would consider it unfair if the enemy had assault rifles and they didn't, no matter what "it's there so they can use it" were given to them. Then again, WWI didn't have respawns.

Seriously, you're fine with someone glitching into a rock and killing you, and you can't shoot them back.
They are still operating within the rules of the game, it's just a rule the developers didn't intentionally create. Until they change the rules to disallow it, I have no problem with it.

I say the only thing "unfair" or "game-breaking" is actual hacks or major glitching. Everything else is just up to you to figure out how to counter.

Would camping behind a doorway with a knife (or sword, if your playing halo) be okay? It's not really a bad thing because people don't look around the room usually.

Ok fine we have nothing further to discuss, just be aware you're wrong

Would that I were.
Hmmm that really doesn't work any better than me just saying you're wrong...
Eh I'll accept it.
This reminds me of setting up two jenga towers and switching if you fail, Not against the rules but against the spirit of the game.

I find that anything that you do that results in any type of injury, damage or death to me is both unfair and game-breaking.

Then use some common sense and refrain from posting something that in all likelihood has been posted upwards of ten times

It is against the spirit of the game to play more than once?

"Common sense" he says, "refrain from posting", he says. Don'chu know where you is? This is the internet, baby!
