And I don't think we have had that game yet in the current gen. Maybe COD4, maybe Bioshock... who knows. Time will tell what will stay special in gamers' hearts.
I didn't say that there weren't games that defined the generations, I just said that the day
one game defines a generation, I would have a problem.
All I am saying is that if only one game defines the generation, it means it was a pretty lame generation.
For any generation, there are many "defining games." In the 4th generation (aka 16 bit) we had Mortal Combat, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong country. In the 5th generation, we had Resident Evil, Twisted Metal, and StarFox 64, not to mention so many others.
