We know it took the Reapers hundreds of years to completely wipe out the Protheans (the VI on Illos said so.)

And seeing as the last thing we see in the game is a fleet of Reapers heading right for us, I see no reason why we can't have the galaxy half decimated first before Shepard figures out how to save the day. Or who knows... maybe he won't!

But the only way I can think of beating all the reapers with no harm to the galaxy would be some kind of massive deus ex machina, which would suck

AMEN, i wanna see a new character. He'd be a young Shepard because the Illusive Man cloned him in case the Lazarus Project failed or Shepard died again. Sort of an insurance policy for the galaxy. What do u think?

- Overload mechanic combined with Instant use of a new heat sink like in the original draft of ME2
- Party Banter, see: dragon age.
- Make biotic users less reliant on cover some way, Bastion Vanguard was broken as hell in me1 but seeing I was a biotic god it did make sense.
- More pure storyline missions, or: do not let EA rush you. Legion made it very obvious that his story got altered due to the fact that he has lines for everything from Omega onwards.
- More Items, I do not need the ME1 system but seeing a few armor racks in a mission or just collecting gear of those you kill to "salvage" tech from them would be nice.
- The Mako in a more streamlined way, I do miss exploring.

- PROPER development time, I can wait until 2015 for all I care, just do not rush it please.

I hate exclusives man, we should give you guys Mass Effect and you guys should give us God of War 3.

Yeah, exclusives suck. Even is Me and Me2 wore Pc and 360 releases it still feels like a middle finger pointed at the general direction of ps3 gamers.
It's either buy a monster pc for 1400$ or a 360 and give up LittleBig planet and Killzone 2

If you ever ever get a chance toplay ME2 on any platform... do it. You won't regret it.

Even rent a 360 for a week or something, I'm considering doing that when GOW3 comes out.

Kaidan is boring, Ashley is a xenophobe, Jacob is also boring, Miranda has only one defining feature (HER VOICE ACTOR, before you draw anything from that)... and, well. Zaeed wasn't too bad, but you never really got the chance to find out due to the fact you can't have a proper conversation with him.
