Masters, A Pokemon RP(CLOSED) Chapter 7: Out of the Woods.

"Well all of them actually I haven't caught a single one since Faith. During our trip around Kanto the rest of the group seemed to get stronger and stronger while mine stayed the same. Near the end I was feeling pretty useless." Brandon said looking down. "So I focused on getting my Pokemon stronger so that I could at least keep up this time round.
"Heh, you did alright when we were traveling together. But it's good that you want to keep getting stronger with your current group." Magnus said to his old friend. He then turned to Mark, his new friend. "What about you, Mark. What Pokemon do you have?"
Mark took the poke ball off his belt and and his combusken came out. "This is the only one I have. He's been with me for years though, and we're good friends." He said as combusken shivered and looked at him.
"Sorry I forgot you don't like the cold." As he recalled it.

"Ah an Easterner," Duncan said with a smile, "It's truly a pleasure to meet you, what brings you to Johto, other than the better food and, unfortunately, worse weather?"
"A Combusken, eh?" Magnus said, looking at the Pokemon before it was called back. "It looks like it's in good shape. I bet you've done a good job training it."
Magnus, Mark, and Brandon began walking towards the Professor's Lab, it was in a small neighborhood, along with several houses. Technically, New Bark Town was merely a suburb of Cherrygrove city, separated by a couple of miles woods, and a commuter road.
Walking past a string of houses, the group approached the Lab, and saw a few young Trainers outside, playing with and training their Pokemon.
Magnus, Mark, and Brandon began walking towards the Professor's Lab, it was in a small neighborhood, along with several houses. Technically, New Bark Town was merely a suburb of Cherrygrove city, separated by a couple of miles woods, and a commuter road.
Walking past a string of houses, the group approached the Lab, and saw a few young Trainers outside, playing with and training their Pokemon.
"Come back here Calhoun!"
Eric laughed as he chased his pokemon around.
"We need to train some more!"
"Pichu!"
Calhoun dove behind a tree, and picked up a stick. Leaning it around the side of the tree, he watched as his trainer tripped over it and fell to the ground.
Eric glared at the Pichu, before laughing again.
"I can't believe I fell for that again."
Eric laughed as he chased his pokemon around.
"We need to train some more!"
"Pichu!"
Calhoun dove behind a tree, and picked up a stick. Leaning it around the side of the tree, he watched as his trainer tripped over it and fell to the ground.
Eric glared at the Pichu, before laughing again.
"I can't believe I fell for that again."
Was that good?
Magnus walked over to help up the boy whose Pichu had tripped him.
"It seems you fell in more than one way." Magnus joked, helping the kid up. "Your Pichu sure looks to be quite the little prankster."
Magnus stretched out his hand in greeting.
"My name's Magnus... What's yours?" He asked the boy.

Eric brushed the grass off his shirt and shook Magnus's hand.
"Thanks, I'm Eric-" Calhoun jumped up on his shoulder "-and this is Calhoun."
"Pichu!"
"And yes, that was rehearsed."

"Very cute." Magnus said with a smile. He pet the little Pichu and scratched in between its ears. "Very nice to meet you, Eric and Calhoun. It looks to me like you're about to start your journey... Tell me, is the Professor in? I have business with him."
"Thanks Eric." Magnus thanked the boy. "Tell you what... After I'm done talking to Professor Elm, I'll give you a Pokemon Battle. Does that sound good to you?"
"Great. I'll be right back, then." Magnus said to Eric, then he, Brandon, and Mark went into the Professor's Lab.
Walking inside, Magnus noticed that the Professor only had one assistant. Magnus thought that they must be awfully busy sometimes... He walked into the main room, and saw the Professor handing out Pokemon to a few brand-new Trainers.
"Alright kids..." Elm said to three trainers, two girls and a boy. "You can choose from a Chikorita, a Cyndaquil, or a Totodile. Only one Pokemon per person, though."
The three new Trainers argued amongst themselves, and then decided. The young boy chose the Chikorita, and the girls got the Totodile and the Cyndaquil. After retrieving a Pokedex and five pokeballs, the children ran outside to go get acquainted with their new Pokemon.
"More visitors?" Elm asked when he saw Mark, Magnus, and Brandon. "I take it you're not here for Pokemon... What can I help you with, boys?"
