I can understand why MS did this, they want their Kinect range to be the same, bland shovelware type image that the Wii is having.
On the other hand, Extra Credits might be onto something. Perhaps MS is doing this because they want to be seen as offering more than the usual blood'n'viscera that most '360 games have. Perhaps MS wants to be seen as more mature these days. (Unfortunately, I don't think they are going about it in the correct way.)

I recall an article here that contained a quote from microsoft saying something along the lines of "We are not trying to make Xbox more kid/family friendly, we appreciate our hardcore fanbase..."
Anybody mind linking to that?
In addition, they continue to go back and worth whether they want to sue or appreciate custom kinect edits.

When the PSP's UMD media was used for porn Sony basically said they were against it but as far as I know didnt do much to stop it. I daresay it was a similar case with the DVD and Blu-Ray dics too in the long forgotten past.

Well, the Kinect has already made its own porn; that guy who was dancing naked in front of his can attest to that, so I really don't see why they are making such a fuss about it.
