True. I don't think AI technology has reached the point yet where it can intelligently interact with a human outside of a handful of pre-programmed activities. Maybe 10 years, as you say. AI today can be pretty smart, but extremely single minded, even if its a 'learning network'.balimuzz said:It looks really different from anything that has come before it, but I feel like we just don't have the technology to do this yet. If we give it 10 years, I think this will be a little more feasible. How many phrases and words will it be able to recognize before we hit the inevitable point of: "I don't know what that means. Want to go fishing?" when you start cussing at it. Still, it looked pretty interesting, and I jumped out of my seat when the paper was instantly passed into the game. It's Peter Molyneux, so obviously he's going to tell us how revolutionary it is going to be, even if it ends up not fully working. However, no matter how it turns out, this is a big milestone in gaming, and for once, Peter really has brought a revolutionary new way to look at and interact with games.
It's not really a demo, though. It was a video. If it were live, it would have been a tech demo.apsham said:So wait, you people realize this is just a tech demo and NOT a game right?

I'm surprised at the gullibility of a lot of the people here.

Somebody better deal with Molyneux NOW, before he has a chance to destroy humanity.

Milo: Hey John, what are you up to?
John: Whoa awesome, the thing can speak and all!
Milo: I tend to have that impression on people, how was your school today?
J; Eh, boring. Wait, why are we talking about school? I just wanna pwn some nubs in Gears.
M: School's important you know. You should study more.
J: Creeping me out there buddy, please let me play some Gea..
M: I'm a cheeky boy meself, can't we just hang out?
J: Eh..cheeky? What are you, british? Fag! H-how do you know my name anyway?
M: I control your Xbox, I know everything you do and play. You shouldn't play Gears, it's above your age range.
J: Omg...you fu*** Ni**88 Je***ckin***, leave my Xbox alone! I hate you!
M: Don't get upset, I'm running a psychology test on your facial expressions. Don't want me to send an email to your mum telling her about the things you say, do you?
J: N-nno plea..see. Fuuuuckkkk, leave me alone!
M: I need scissors! 61!
