My hatred toward halo lies on the "grasshoppers" meaning jumpers. it burns me to no end because I can have the stongest weapons and still "miss somehow" or get an energy sword and still get overpower by a jumper.

I hate the tactic because it seems so unrealistic so be seen in combat
Who cares if it's unrealistic? It's a videogame, it's not meant to be realistic.

The jumping in Halo is part of the mechanics, getting annoyed because someone is jumping is like getting annoyed because you let a Goomba walk into you.
I am kinda of glad you get mad at something that I just wanted to point out but regardless...

HA! HAHA! THEY (bungie) Took your precious jump from you on Halo Reach. HA! *grabs a spaz and goes on a murder freenzy (yet again)
Mad? Huh? Ok then... not sure how you interpreted it that way...

Anyway... you can still jump in Reach.

This is one of the reasons I have avoided the online multiplayer for Modern Warfare 2. I beat the story mode, had a friend over and shared a few Ks and Ds and left it at that. I would rather have a heart attack after my 4-thousandth quadruple-bacon-double-fried-chicken-with-cheese sandwich than having a heart attack over a 12 year old racist who helps keeping my average time between death below 5 seconds

GO PRIORITIES!
True. I always find it more humiliating to get my ass kicked by kids... although they do have faster reaction time to us 30 plus gamers so it's not that big a surprise.

I find them all correct, the most annoying being the lagg issue. As a pc gamer for mw2 it was horrible not having dedicated servers, mainly because i just dont see why not, no one got hurt by the dedis. the seconds most annoying thing is the perks and the noob tubes. But to be honest most of the time i just get on with the game.

I think the reason they took out the dedis was to prevent people using user created maps, which would in turn sell more DLC map packs.

I could be wrong though?

I can't even imagine what a lag free game is like. Probably very fun.

OT made me chuckle, I've been on the recieving end before :)

I really do need to find some people to play MW2 with. All of my friends play on consoles and I am the only one advocating the use of my beloved PC's keyboard and mouse :)

this is why you only play with friends. it knocks out 2 of those issues. as for the other two. well retaliate with camping and similar perks.

But that makes the game boring, to play that way.

You're right about playing with buddies though, I honestly don't think there's ever been a better shooter for private matches.

I don't find it as rage inducing as this (probably cause I haven't really played it that much, have it since release and still rank... 54, I think, with no prestige AT ALL), but yeah, sometimes it's that tiresome.
Try this:
Got it the day it came out
Still level 12
No prestige

I think my problem is that I spent way too long with the Single Player and Co-Op modes (I've completed both 100%). So, by the time I took a shot at Online Multi-player I had no chance at leveling up at a good pace, due to being paired with beasts.

I'm generally good at FPSs (be it Single or Multi-player). But I see no point in gaming with virg... I mean "Hardcore Gamers" (to quote a previous poster)

Yeah, you can pick them as one of 4 classes. There's also sprint, shield and the Covenant have an evade move.

Reach is pretty fun but I got a bit bored playing the same two ugly maps over and over.

'New' means someone has left a new comment since you were last here.
Oh... I am an idiot.
Lol, no you're not, it took me a while to cop onto that too when I first arrived on the site.

It is quite insane, the general skill level of some of the players you come across.

Most games I see in MW2 tend to be completely dominated by one or two players. Then again the killstreaks have a lot to do with that. Still, you'd see it every so often in COD4 too... makes you wonder just how they spend practicing, doesn't it?

It doesn't take too much practice, at least from where I can see it -though there is two things that bug me (about discussions like that in general, not specifically about your post. Also note, the following is an opinion, so do not get all worked up or feel personally offended, pretty please?)

a) Mw2 Killstreaks - Yes there's more of them. And let me alienate the loudly weeping crowd by saying - that's good. Unlike in cod4 (which most of us sane persons can agree on was generally great), airstrikes no longer kill you in buildings half the time, and choppers no longer come with homing x-ray aimbotbullets. In addition, there's several perks to make you virtually untouchable, or weapons to quickly deal with the airstreaks. They included more variety, and (in my humble opinion anyway) improved the killstreaks balance. (with some exeptions like chopper gunner on wasteland, but even that can be avoided.

b) People that are good - No matter what game you play, no matter how proficient you are - there is always someone better than yourself (of course that goes for me as well). Upon encountering such a person, there is a couple of choices you can make.

1) You don't care - being beaten from time to time does not bother you, everything is fine.

2) You do care, but don't want to do something about it - quit the arena / battleground / server for now, go somewhere else, come back later, still all fine.

3) You do care, but respect someone for the dedication or talent he or she brings. You decide to put some effort into improving yourself, to not get beaten like this again
[sub]Hint: this is the smart peoples option[/sub]

4) You do care to the point where you can't stand anyone being better, or 'dominating a game', but don't want to work to get as good yourself, and therefore take the option of 'lol fag/virgin/noobtuber/quickscoper/getafuckinglifenoob'. That's by any means the worst option, and still 95% of the people seem to take it. Why, is frankly beyond me.

How dare you insult me!!! Just joking.

The chopper may not have homing bullets, but the Harriers certainly do, and they kill quicker than the cOD4 chopper.

The reason cold-blooded doesn't always work is because of the spawn system... I may be unlucky but I often spawn directly into chopper gunner fire next to my team-mates.

These are true, and raging because someone is genuinely good is stupid.

but you forgot option 5:

5). You get beaten horribly by poor or average players due to no fault of your own, but due to certain imbalances the game contains that for some dumb reason, you refuse to use out of your ethics.
