So true yet so sad......good thing I avoid multiplayer now
Thank you friend, I've been avoiding it myself lately too.

I also have to ask... What in the name of God is that in your avatar?

Watch around the one minute mark, I took that part then modified it so I could loop it better, also your nearly to 100k and a spot in Inferno'd, my ego boost group.

Parts of the first 2 statements are more people in the community being for lack of a better term assholes, though the game does appear to promote camping and lone wolf mentallity, neither are essential to win the game. But I will agree that the lag and inexplicably overpowered perks are IW's fault, as I'm sure everyone here has been knifed through a solid object by someone using commando. I think the series can be salvaged if the perk system, and some weapons (M16 FAMAS and Raffica) get a major overhaul.

What I hate the most is that even though you get pissed off at the game, you can just stay away from it for a while and then you'll feel like playing it later, GRRR!

Yeah, which in a way IW have to be given credit for. As annoying as the game gets, it's so well made in many areas that it is still completely addictive... took me a loooong time to finally just go 'fuck this' and kick the habit!

I never really found the M16 or FAMAS to be overpowered. The TAR 21 kills just as fast and is fully auto.

Cool! What thread did you make for that badge? This thread moved quickly at the beginning but got painfully slow around 96 000, which was a bit frustrating :D

Its still going rather quickly, I made it after the original Asylum Game was locked
That's awesome.... no cat people- that made me laugh.

ON topic, so who's going to buy the Resurgence package?

this is why you only play MW2 with a group of people, so you can keep each other sane

I have about 5 buddies from my hometown that I somtimes play with, and I have to admit... with a group of friends in a private game, it's the best multiplayer experience I've ever had.

We make certain rules though, like no commando or last stand, and games where you can only get kills by cooking frags.... much fun is had.

I only play with friends now, but that brings the problem that you have such a big advantage over everyone else. Firstly, we're all good players. Secondly, we work as a team. Thirdly, the other team do not work as a team and they are usually not good players.

Private matches are also fun, especially if everyone is sniping and just trying to do amazing stuff. Some of the things that we've pulled off have been pretty special (no scope across Wasteland anyone?).

But then, every now and again, I'll plug in and go on my own. It never ends well and even if you're doing good, you don't really have much fun.

True, me and my buddies usually win when we play together, especially in Domination. But don't you ever find that when you come up against a clan it can be really challenging?

I actually play better when I'm alone though. I can't concentrate and get in the game as much when I'm chatting with my buddies, I'm not the most skilled player so have to try hard to do well!

I agree though, it's no fun even when you do well. It's more like feeding an addiction.

Did anybody buy Resurgence?

Occasionally, but we've all been playing together for about 3 years now (me and one guy did GB doubles until we got bored of it, I don't think we ever lost). But with MW2 you never really know because how well you do fluctuates depending on what mood you're in.

When you're playing with good people you know that you're back is covered, like you don't expect your buddy to be killed and his killer to shoot you in the back as a result. You can also spawn trap them and from that the air will always be full of killstreaks.

I haven't bought any of the map packs. £11 for 3 new maps? No thanks.

Combine all that with the absurdity of the single player and honestly there's really no reason to play this game. The only reason I still play this game is because my friends play it and I can't party chat with them while they're playing it thus making this game not only stupid on many levels, but also highly irritating.

I hate CoD multiplayer because anyone new to the multiplayer after the game has been out roughly half a year or so has to deal with all the annoying hacks, mods, BS kills, random kills, and f*#cking n00b snipers with their gay quick-scoping that it makes one want to jump out the nearest window.
Why do people have such a problem with quick scopers?

It's bloody hard (I certainly suck at it anyway).

That's pretty much my experience and bugger me if you got it on the dot with the "his friends could never imagine him angry" part, too.

That said, I always want to beat this game, just to show that even in it's fucked up, goatee-bearded-evil-twin universe I can shoot people...
I can, but my "team" doesn't seem to care, so I'm forced to load myself up in such a manner that it results in me constantly moving and shooting, with no back-up, support or any of those other useful things TF2 and Battlefield had gotten me used to.

I've concluded that this is "not fun" and that this game is pretty amazingly lazy, too.
Can't make a decent single-player?
Bang out a half-hearted multiplayer with every super-power you can imagine as a perk, let the players make their own fun and pay US for it!
Ha, ha, ha!
In fairness, I thought the single player game was amazing. Sure, it was too short but I dunno... how could anyone not enjoy storming the Gulag, or Jet-Skiing down the mountain??

Perhaps they thought the jet-skiing sucked ass, that they didn't want to play a first person racer that didn't control very well, or that they had been emotionally scarred by old Jet-Ski games on the PlayStation 1 when all the other kids laughed at them because they always finished last.

You know... those kind of people... that are totally not me...

Lol that was a pretty good way of putting it across 10/10.
Better than just a ranting paraghraph.

I've broken 2 headsets playing MW2, and i think my throat might be going lol

I'm finally going to get to play this. It came up on my Gamefly queue. Unfortunately I just picked up RDR, so I don't know if I'll get around to playing it soon.

But I think I'll avoid the multiplayer for now. I don't want to hate the game right away. :)
