So very true. That game pissed me off so damn much, but I kept coming back for more punishment. That game has voodoo powers cos seriously, I would never come back to a multiplayer game so unbalanced and frustrating. But I did.

And this is why dedicated servers is always a good idea in a multiplayer PC game. Sure, they might get *a few* servers set up, but it will be outnumbered massively by legit servers.

i would just like to point out that Poorly designed multiplayer is shit... MW2 is designed as a squad based shooter but since most people have the brain capacity of a squirrel (thats my current theory) they come at games like this like it is Serious Sam...or unreal tournament...or quake..or whatever... and ultimately end up getting their ass shot off..

in short there is a point where you have to stop blaming every single problem on the developer and look at yourself...is the game really the one thats failing or is it the people who play it ?

last night i was playing capture the flag and the entire other team wasnt even going for flags, they were just sniping and trying to get kills. so by the end of the game i had about 21 kills and 24 deaths and had captured 1 flag and my team won 2-0. when we returned to the lobby this kid towards the bottom of the list was telling me how much my team and i sucked. since i was the number 1 spot on the list i simply told him i couldnt hear his bitching from way down there. i enjoyed it.

the point of that story was to illustrate what pisses me off most about codmw2. wich would be the people who play objective based games and dont go after the FUCKING OBJECTIVE!!!

And commando come on all you have to do it take one step back when they knife and they will miss you, then you knife them.

Not when they have Marathon and Lightweight. You can't move backwards fast enough for the teleporting lunge,

If you hate overpowered killstreaks then take a stinger as your secondary you can kill any one of them with its 2 shots.

No you can't. AC130 has a bunch of flares. And you can be killed by splash damage even with Cold Blooded on.

Most people who complain about MW2 are generally just bad at the game and dont take the time to learn how to counter some of the "cheaper" setups people use.

Not true. Good players like to play fair and don't need to use cheap setups to do well. Which makes the issues all the more frustrating when they fuck you over.

I was 33-6 on Crash yesterday but then my team got spawn trapped in the building in the top corner and there was literally nothing I could do for the rest of the game but get sneaky kills on the stairs.

I had a 26 kill streak ended by an AC 130 that I had nothing to do with.

Yeh i second that, extremely badly designed. And worst still because of the popularity of MW its becoming the template that most games use.

Personally i stopped playing after the "player match" option was for some reason disbanded meaning everything had to be ranked. That i feel is the biggest problem, when its all ranked everyone becomes a lot more serious and having fun becomes second priority to pride or competition or something...

The game i play most online these days if COD3 on player match because its all for fun, theirs no leaderboards, no stats and so nothing really matters except playing the game and having fun.

Secondly having it ranked means you have to have some sort of match making system which means that if you don't play the game all the time then you're at a disadvantage as you level up then not play for a while when you come back your playing against people at the level you left at who likely have been playing everyday leveling up so are in reality more experienced then you.

And the whole thing works in the favor of better players as they are the ones who get the perks and the upgrades for the weapons and know the maps better.

I think we should have the choice to play in a ranked game or not and let the people who want to play for competition do so and those who just want to play for fun now and again do so as well.

Personally i don't care for leveling up, getting experience, upgrades etc etc. why does there have to be some sort of progression in multiplayer, isnt that what the single player is for??

I never got pissed at MW2, I'm not competitive enough to get angry at it, I'll get angry at getting killed 3 times in a row but next kill, I've forgotten the past deaths.

I do think the game is poorly balanced and the noobtubers are annoying. You see them, you shoot first, they turn and blow you up. The noobtuber will say "Oh but I only get two shots" but you instant respawn or have the scavenger perk and you're right back with more noobtubes. My favorite are the ones that do it point blank and survive, the same thing in Bad Company 2.

But whatever it's game, nothing to get pissed about and snap a controller over :\

As long as I don't end up in the bottom half of the list, I'm cool. As said before Gears of War is much more frustrating.

Can't say I relate. My uber-1337 skills own all.

[Or perhaps it's my uber-1887 skills? pahahaha.]

In all seriousness, is COD Vexing sometimes? yes, but overall I think it's a blast. Balance is not bad at all. Knowing how to combine perks, weaponry and killstreaks (especially in relation to the map) is part of the game. It's not as simple as reflexes and spray/pray

(and before I'm buried under a sea of PMs, I do not, in fact, use Model 1887s. They come far too late and I like to Prestige. AA-12+Scavenger all day =D ]

That was a very odd post.

Does spending enough time with women concern you a lot?
I TOO KNOW ABOUT GIRLS. I READ ABOUT THEM ONE TIME ON AN ONLINE FORUM.

Have to agree with point 2.

Spawn/Kaboom/spawn/Kaboom is not a good gmae play mechanic. Especially if people on my team are "slow" on the uptake of having a antiair class (ColdBlood+Stinger) and equipping that puppy the moment an AC130 comes strolling in.

this sums up every reason i only play Battlefield:Bad company 2 now.

however the WORST part of that game was the rampant glitching/hacking which you forgot too mention.

I admit I played MW2 quite a bit. Then I got BC2, and whenever I gave in to the peer pressure to go back on MW2, I kept comparing it to BC2, which is a much more balanced, much less rage-inducing and much more fun game.

I actually broken my LCD because of Modern Warfare 2 (punched it and then throw my phone in the LCD. The phone survived >.<). I got so angry because of all those aim bots that I just lost it one match. Yelling 10 minutes at vent was kinda amusing for my friends I guess .

Pretty childish for me but I was so full of rage ..that's the day I quit MW2 and started BFBC2...that game never made me angry.

I kept the broken LCD and in case I play MW2 again the broken LCD and the baseball bat are ready...

I've been playing Bad Company 2 and it's a little less rage inducing. Knifing isn't even close to as cheap - in fact a few times I could swear I knifed a guy but got killed. Although yesterday somehow I was dying a lot by people who seemed to be sniping with assault rifles and SMGs - don't know how they were so damn accurate but I was dead before I knew I was being shot at.
I'm guessing they were using the 4x scope. It lets you zoom in somewhat at the cost of taking slightly longer to look down the sites. That or they were using the An-94. It doesn't fire on full auto it fires in two round bursts so it's crazy accurate. I used it about 75% of the time during the single player campaign.

Very valid points. Basically the story of every match I enter. Luckily i have some good friends on party chat most of the time to agree every time one of us screams about one of these things.
Though one thing that annoys me is killstreaks. They basically mean that anyone who is doing well is only ever going to do better. I cant think of any better way to distribute them, so possibly not use them?

Amusing, bit a rather large amount of subjective information. I enjoy the game and have yet to break a controller (although when i jingle it something moves)
