Need for Speed: Most Wanted

No matter how many times I tried, no matter how much I practised, no matter how much I upgraded my car, I could NEVER beat Earl (the last guy before the final area is unlocked). I had been enjoying the game up to that point, but that particular race seemed impossible. Finally, I had enough; I deleted my save and traded the game in.
I've 100% that game on xbox 360 lol.
Guess what? I don't care. I hit a personal impasse and dropped the game. Simple enough.
It seems like you missed out on one of the most epic chase scenes in Video Game History (in my mind at least) when the game reaches a level 6 wanted rating... holy shit it was intense and sooo damn fun. I needa play the part of the game again
I had my share of hectic chases, though. Very early on, before I even had access to the second area, I got into a chase that lasted over fifteen minutes; not only was I being chased constantly, but it also felt very claustrophobic because of the limited area.

Just thinking about it makes my shoulders ache...
Yeah but, imagine doing those scenes with the best car in the game. One that can out-maneuver anything the cops threw at you and especially with the skill you developed while playing the game.

It felt real, albeit the car physics, it felt like a pure car chase

When in WoW I get in to a PvP fight horde, they never fight fair 1v1 it has always has to be 1v2 against one single lonely priest healer...

And I know "Welcome to PvP server"... But attacking someone while hes doing escort quest or trying to kill a Elite solo... I never do it to anyone so it cant be revenge. It is assholism... And plain unfair. Fight fair damm it!

Halo Reach, Emile trying to kill the enemy from 10 miles away with a shotgun. He might as well be trying to kill them from a different goddamn mission!

Damn thee Rico!, Damn thee to hell!. that final cutscene in KZ3 just ticks me off.
This. Although I think its KZ2. And even maybe more so earlier on when he causes thingy to die by being a gun-toting dick.

In New Super Mario Bros on the DS, in order to get to the second star coin in the Tower of world 2, you must walljump continously inside this moving yellow crane thing. I've been trying this for two years. It's impossible. One fucking coin. Rage.

I never really got into Zelda: Majora's Mask, because there's a little mini-game very early on where you have to hit wooden sticks with your sword, and you have to hit a certain number in a certain amount of time. I tried so many times and couldn't do it, and, being a Zelda completionist, I realized that I wouldn't ever be able to get everything in the game, so I just stopped and never got back into it. Pretty tragic.

Medal of Honor - Airborne on PC and its clairvoyant enemies.

To be fair this is only truly rage inducing if you play it on hardest difficulty, but the 'train' bit where the gas-mask wearing, MG42-fired-from-hip, super accurate, hit you from across the map through a 10mm gap whether they can really see you or not, uber soldiers come out. Literally expose an inch of flesh and you are done. I think there is a tank in an earlier map that has the same AI in that game, which clairvoyantly always has its turret pointed right at your head from 3 miles away.

Oh and also in the same game, on any difficulty, the way enemies have a sixth-sense and immediately know if you are pointing a sniper rifle at them. Then they run off and yell "Ja! Americane!" in a very camp, Lex Luthor type way.

Rage I doth.

Playing Arkham Asylum, and getting the blue lightning bolt warning that a thug is attacking you. I press my counter button, ready to turn around and catch the punks fist/foot in my hand, and drop the asswhuppin...

And Batman instead pulls out whatever gadget I have selected and stares blankly at it, earning a solid punch in the back of the head. Ugh.

(On PC, the right click is counter/prepare gadget.)

FFXIV, error 11000, updater failed. /facepalm.

(Either you know this one, or you dont.)

Sins of a Solar Empire, having another faction bump up my bounty, causing me to bump up someone elses to avoid the pirate raid. With 2 seconds left on the Raid Clock, my bounty magically breaks through the roof. "Pirate raiders are on the loose!"

Getting to that point in Spore, when every planet you gain is offset by one you have just lost to pirates/eco disasters/alien attacks, stalling the game forevermore.

Secret of Evermore's dodgy hit detection. Same for Secret of Mana.

Painkiller's titular weapon has a "combined fire more" wherein one can spin the blades, and launch them in a whirling storm of awesome, that wont do any damage whatsoever to any enemies. :(

The stardestroyer bit in Star Wars The Force Unleashed. I have only completed it once, and have tried several times since but I always give up after about half an hour of nothing happening.

Oh, actually, whilst I'm on Saints Row - the 'drive around a prostitute and rich guy' side missions. You have to avoid the press, occasionally private investigators, jilted lovers, blah blah blah. All that would be fine if occasionally your passengers didn't pop up and go "hey give us ten seconds of air time" whilst you're being hunted by cars faster than yours.
You have to wonder what kind of sick fetish these guys have and if there's a deviant art group catering to it.

Actually no, it'll probably do your sanity more good if you try not to think about that too much.

But yeah those escort jobs were annoying, I'm glad they retooled them for Saint's Row 2. I couldn't have dealt with scouring the map for ramps again when you're being chased by every journalist in the city and their pet cheetah's.

It probably doesn't matter anymore, but I have some tips for that fight(because I played that game so damn much).

For when he is charging up that skewering thrust, every thrust after the first one, can be grabbed with your Devil Bringer(arm attack). Also, for when he is shooting his fireballs, always try to stay around him, so when he finishes attack with them, you can jump up and hit him and combo it into the grab so that you can damage him on the floor. And always ALWAYS when you have a good chance to do damage on him, do the Devil Trigger Grab on him, and keep mashing away on the shooting button and the grab button, it makes the combo go on longer, and the summonded swords that the DT bullets make, do extra damage.
Ahhh, that's what I was doing wrong then. I was trying to use the Devil Bringer to grab him on his first thrust and kept getting knocked about like a dog in a car boot. Cheers for that, I'll remember it for when I masochistically attempt to play DMC4 on the next difficulty setting.

I just completed Halo Reach, it was my first halo game, and it got several things that pissed me off.
Most of the times it is not clear what you got to do, to what, when or where to go to do it.
Being the first Halo I played I hated all the winks bungie kept doing: "look, you get who is he? he is him!" They did nothing to connect a new player to the characters.

In bioshock when the writers stopped forging a great enviroment and simply made a usual fps (around the second, third level). The first two levels were very intense, the use of shadows and writings on the walls, scripted events. These things made the progression more interesting. Then it all became linear, go from A to B, kill everything in sight.

Left 4 dead, on the xbox 360. The first time I played through all the game, and I understood it was just that, I thought I was robbed. No mods, no free release, nothing but a demo of a game... Same for Team fortress 2.

The end of oblivion. I spent hundreds of hours playing it and then this was all I got.

And Dead rising for all the escort missions you're supposed to do, Otis, I really hate you. I still don't want to buy the second only because I know they ruined a zombie game by using the bane of gaming experience for the core of the gameplay: ESCORT MISSIONS!
