Moments in gaming that made you cry?

I don't think I've ever cried. I remember finding at the end of Kingdom Hearts that I cared about the characters... Which confused me, cause throughout the game I was just annoyed everytime they started on their friendship crap.

That was a very obscure game, I really want to find that game...

There is a single thing that made me cry in a game. Only one. (Not to say that no other games touched me jaded, stone heart, such as Emma's death above, but none made me weep openly, or even shed a single tear)
The moment in gaming that made me unconditionally break down in tears (It still makes me sad, but see jaded stone heart comment above) is the ending to Klonoa: Door to Phantomile...

I recently played F.E.A.R. 2 since a friend recommended it to me. I loved it the whole way through, enjoying every battle and spook scene, the boss battles that were more 'Tap A to force gun to blow his head off', and even the annoying support character SnakeFist. When I reached the end:

and I realized that everything I'd done was for nothing since Alma was pregnant again, I cried a little from the idea. She grabs my burning retrained hand, places it on her stomach, and the credits roll. Fear at it's finest gentleman. Not the 'Oh Shit' kind, but the 'all was in vain' kind. -F

Fallout 3, I've played through it quite a few times now, and I still can't get through that ONE scene without crying my eyes out... You know which one...

I wanted to shoot that scientist *****, strange thing is that scene gives you "The Metroid Effect" were you suddenly become unstoppable, you can almost feel the AI shitting themselves at the sight of you.

Same goes with the boss of Resident Evil 2, he kills Sherry's chances of an antidote so the fight stops being scary, he's piss easy first time round because its all about payback.

Even though I've never heard of "the Metroid Effect", I know exactly what you mean.
You suddenly feel an actual, and very sincere need for vengeance.
And, I mean, just how hard would it be to

get your dad out of there, the amount of radiation poisoning that you would get, would've been easily treated, especially seeing how long it took for you to croak in the end

Ocarina of Time makes me well up. After all that struggle Zelda and Link cannot be a couple then, after the credits Link goes to see her again in a kind of time paradox loop...

It didn't have me tearing up, but The Darkness was VERY powerful in some scenes. One in particular. Not gonna spoil it like someone spoiled another game in this thread T______T;;;

I was wholly surprised that some of the scenes were as well done as they were. That game still remains one of my little gems... despite every single location and conflict being one of those "Oh God not this part" things.

Mother 3. Just...Mother 3...to say any more would be to spoil the waterfall of tears...

Also see: Elite Beat Agents: Mission "You're the Inspiration." Fail this, and you have no soul.

And this, too! That was... wow. I was left with a dumb smile for quite some time (followed by OH YEAH I BEAT THE GAME ON THE HARDEST DIFFICULTY ELITE BEAT DIVAS BABY!)

For me... the only one in recent memory was one of Bioshock 2's endings (the bittersweet, sorta neutral one...) and some bits in Persona 4. Though, lately, games are making me cry more... >.>

i cried in Crono Trigger when Robo was being beaten up by the other evil robos.He just seemed so innocent and you can't do anything about it. Also, the last few scenes in Okami, especially when Amaterasu realized that Nissun wasn't with him anymore, always make me tear up.
