Moments in gaming that made you cry?

Ace Combat 5: Alvin H. "Chopper" Davenport dammit...

Quite possibly the only time I've ever cared for a game character that much.

that robot (E102 I think his name was) at the end of sonic adventure when you had to battle your pretty-much-brother. after beating it, it shoots you then explodes as you slowly power down, and die before you could repair any of the other robots you saved. it made me pretty upset but then again I played it when i was like 11.

In Far Cry 2 for some reason, when one of my friends was dying, and i kept injecting him with adrenaline, kneeling over him, and he died in my arms, half smiling. It didn't make my cry, but it brought a lump to my throat. You had to see it to understand. *sniff*

My second playthrough of ME2. Commander Sarah Shepard didnt make it, even though i was planning on getting the bad ending from the outset it still got to me.

Any buddy dying Far Cry 2 is a huge loss.

If a buddy is mortally wounded you have the choice of giving them a morphine overdose to ease the pain or put a bullet in between their eyes, its your choice, and you pull the trigger.

Its doubly hard to do because they're only in the area because they came to rescue you, and the squirming they do while yelling at you to "DO IT, FINISH ME OFF" is unsettling.

Its not just me! Same person aswell. But a different soundtrack was playing.

Me too. That scene is a massive tearjerker in a game full of them, it's superb.

Librarian Isuldur dying in Dawn of War

(I probably spelt the name wrong)

Normally I don't feel too bad when it comes to the usual 'your best friend betrayed you' storyline and the way it inevitably ends.

However, in this case you could see them slowly twisting and getting ready to betray you so it's unclear as to whether the 'end' is a case of mercy killing or revenge (and that bothered me a lot).

I felt sad....But I didn't cry. I never cry. That would imply that there was a corner of my black and twisted heart that actually cared.

The cutscene in Halo 3 after you deal with Guilty Spark. That also made me cry.

But the the moment that made me cry the most was the end of the Orc campaign in Warcraft 3.

Great now I fell sad.
