I seriously can't watch that movie for more than five minutes without being totally annoyed. What makes it so appealing to everyone?

In all fairness, the sword fight with Brandt isn't a fight scene, it's an execution.

There are loads of good deaths in films. I don't normally go for the gory ones where some dudes intestines fly across a room and into his daughters mouth (mmm, not a bad idea) and prefer the ones with a bit of emotion. As said before the death scene in platoon where Barbers Adaggio for Strings is playing is brilliant as is the death of the black dude (dyson?) in Terminator 2. I also quite liked arnies death in T2, it is a little cheesey and you could argue he doesn't die as he is a machine but i still like it.

Starship Troopers..theres that bit when they are in the fort when they start to retreat and one guy jumps off the wall only to be impaled in midair by one of the Arachnids and then flung screaming into the mass of aliens. Totally epic that whole scene

I can't remember what movie it was, but I remember this scene of an American karate guy fighting an old Japanese sword master (Think Mr. Miyagi with a beard). All of a sudden, he screams into the camera, punches the guy IN THE HEART, rips it out, puts it in a doggy bag and gives it to him.

Either that or the ninja in MK: Annihilation who got crushed by Sonya's thighs.
