Nobody is truly evil. Hitler did what he truly believed was best for the world and for his people. sure, we may not agree and looking at history we can be pretty safe in saying he was wrong but it doesn't necessarily label him as "evil".
The point is, nobody really sees themselves as bad people and with evil being such a flimsy concept I don't feel that anyone can use it to describe a human being.

However, if I had to point out someone who mass murdered his/her way through history and did things that were completely without compassion and/or empathy for his/her fellow man....Ghengis Khan. He was the biggest mass murderer in history (if compared to how many people there were in that time)

Archduke Franz Ferdinand, if he hadn't have been born it would mean he wouldn't have been assassinated which means no WWI, which in turn would lead to no WWII, Stalin or Hitler. Or the jewish holocaust either
Wouldn't that make Gavrilo Princip the evil one, or can you apply "evil" to person simply for being born?
Not sure, but you raise a good point

Atilla the Hun; no one human in history is responsabile for backpeddling human history than that man right there.

Aside from him, I'd go with Emporer Palpatine. That guy was ruthless.

Jesus? jokes, there is no such thing, the one of the most evil people is George W. Bush
I think you're confusing evil with stupidity, mine isn't really an individual but a group of people a find rather repugnant; the Puritan settlers. They oppressed people who expressed any form of individuality, accused their own people of witchcraft for their own personal gain, slaughtered the inhabitants of an entire nation and enslaved milllions of Africans. Also, I'd like to point out that this isn't a hate speech against Americans, it's not their fault that they're descendants of such a vile, cruel and sanctimonious people.
well to be fair to the puritans the whole witch trial thing is thought to be a reaction to LSD witch formed on the bread they were eating causing them to become delusional

Himmler. He was by far the worst of all the nazis, and unlike most of them, had no political or moral code. He fled as soon as he knew that the nazis were losing, he was also responsible for the death camps and the reign of the secret police over occupied Europe.

I had to snip this post a bit, but I completely agree with your statement. Well said.

I'm actually ok that Stalin and Hitler were born because otherwise we might not live in the world where we understand what happens to people who do that, and we wouldn't have the advanced technology that the wars advanced. So sue me.

Pol Pot. His leadership caused 1/4 Cambodians to be shot, tortured or starved to death. The Khmer Rouge were probably among the most brutal sadists that I've ever read about. Sure, his death count wasn't as high as Stalin's, Hitler's or Mao's, but it was the system he set up that showed how evil he was.

When the Khmer Rouge took power, everyone, EVERYONE was forced out of their homes into poorly made shanty villages. Patients were ordered out of hospital - if they were too sick, they just shot them. Anyone with glasses was suspected of being an "intellectual", and they too would be shot. Anyone speaking any other language than the Khmer Rouge's official Cambodian language would be shot. If you were not ethnically Cambodian, you'd be shot. Anyone who even LOOKED middle class would be shot. Teachers, doctors, anyone thought to retain a hint of "the old ways" had to be executed, because the Khmer Rouge wanted to take everything back to "Year Zero", as in completely obliterate the past in order to have a clean slate for the future. The Chinese Communists tried a similar thing during the "Cultural Revolution", but they were no where near as harsh and sadistic as the Khmer Rouge (they let people live to be re-educated, whereas the Khmer's just shot anyone they wanted).

Even if you weren't shot, life was not pleasant. You had to wear the clothes that were given to you. If you moved without permission, you'd be shot. If you spoke out of turn, you'd be shot. If you failed to grow enough crops, because the authorities didn't give you the proper farming equipment, guess who got shot? You did. If a family member committed a crime, their child or relative was expected to kill them. There are pictures of six year old kids being instructed on how to behead "class enemies".

And if you were expected of being a spy? You were done for - you had no chance at living. They'd electrocute you, burn you, break your bones until you confessed. The authorities were paranoid and insane - they'd accuse people of being a member of the KGB, the CIA AND the Vietnamese communist party (the Khmer Rouge, despite being communist, HATED the Vietnamese and the Russians, and killed anyone suspected of being allied with them). They forced innocent people to confess to outrageous, outlandish crimes, just so that they could kill them.

The Khmer Rouge committed genocide. All Vietnamese or Chinese in Cambodia who weren't driven out were executed (Surprisingly, the Chinese government who supported the Khmers at the time, had no problem with this. Usually the Chinese do raise a fuss if their citizens are mistreated). The Khmer rouge starved and tortured its own citizens. They transformed Cambodia into a giant insane asylum/prison, only it was the criminal maniacs who ran the place.

A cursory glance at the history of Cambodia and the atrocities committed by the Khmer Rouge reveals them to be just..... insane. That's the only word I can use to describe the Khmers - they were barking mad. They were LITERALLY crazy, crazy with anger and hatred. They were lunatic fanatics seeing "capitalist" demons in every man woman and child, and thought that it was perfectly acceptable to "cleanse" their country by drenching it in blood. They are the scariest people I have ever read about. Scarier than the Nazis even. Sure the Nazis KILLED more people, but they weren't as clearly INSANE as the Khmers.

And Pol Pot was the man who started it all. I honestly think he's more evil than Hitler. He was less destructive. But he was more evil.

To be honest with you guys, I don't wish nobody was never born (I think that makes sense). I mean, if history didn't go pretty much exactly how it did, almost none of us would have been born, so I'm pretty content with my existence. I mean, Hitler killed millions during the second world war, as did Khan during his conquering of Asia, as did Rebecca when she produced Friday, but I'm alive, and that's pretty bloody sweet.

why did this post (Vuljatar's, that is) get a warning? I was going to say the same thing, because he's killed easily more people than anyone else on the planet in the history of humanity -- well over a 100 million people died under Mao Zedong directly because of his terrible, almost psychopathic policies.
He had such contempt for the people he claimed to represent there is no way he was anything but evil, if there is such a thing.

Before reading furthure please note that I am not saying that you are evil for folling christianity.

dam just one guy or a whole group if a whole group it would have to be christianity from about 2000 years ago not mordern day christens very very very sorry if you took offense and if modderaters take this down i understand but considering that they basiclly had more power then any one else at the time from about 1000AD and 1600AD they ruled your life in Europe.

some priests had heratics, witches, and homosexuals tourtued or burned at the stake (thats where the term ****** was inveted to mean gays, they tossed them on witches fires saying that they where faggots of wood)
They started a holy war killing thousands and making a feud that goes on to this day destroyed many many native religions when exploration started
science and further human advancement barely moved and inch
not saying that any mordern christiens are evil today just saying that much pain and suffering has been done by those who say they do Gods work.

I know that christiens have done alot of good but in my own opinion christianity has alot against it.
RAGE!

In all seriousness though, you make a lot of good points regarding Christianity and it's past. The same could be said of just about any empire in Europe though. Wars were just a thing of the time, it seemed like someone wasn't a country unless they were invading or being invaded. You need to look past what they believed and look more into who the people were.

Hitler truly believed that he was doing what was best for Germany (in theory) and he actually did do some good things for them before he went nuts and started the concentration camps and such. The autobahn (I think that's how it's spelled) was built on his order because he needed to be able to move large amounts of equipment and such.

There are plenty of other examples, but if you're going to damn a group, how about the Roman Empire that lasted a good bit longer than the timefram you mentioned. Or the Chinese dynasties? Or the Greeks when they expanded out?

Or any country with expansionist tendencies at any point in their lives?

OT: Hard to say what a truly evil person is. Even good people can do bad things. I know it might be lame to say, but if they didn't enjoy it, I think that that counts for a lot. For example, a seriel killer enjoys killing in theory, whereas a cop would only kill someone because they absolutely had to, also in theory. Anyone who willingly harms someone without feeling the slightest bit of remorse, or even worse, enjoys doing it (not regarding consentual pain in the case of sadomasochism) is evil in my book.
