refreshing and original as the CoD 4.
When did CoD4 become refreshing or original? I wasn't aware having the exact same premise as half of Tom Clancy's stuff (boring, modern-day stuff in the Middle East or some forest in the Ukraine) qualified something as "original..."
Speaking of which, CoD4 gets my award for being the most overrated game ever. As I've said, modern-day terrorism in the Middle East and involving nukes.
Yawn. You mean the same thing I hear about on the news every day that's the premise for have the shooters coming out now. Involving simplistic, repetetive gameplay with minimal fun-factor and virtually no replay value? I'll pass. Halo may be a tad overrated, but at least the gameplay wasn't so damn linear and repetetive that I got bored of it after a week. At least it had a cool art style with memorable characters and weapons and an amazing soundtrack. I'll take Chiefy any day over some generic, grizzled guys in Spec-Ops gear.
Every time someone goes on about MW2 being overrated, I find myself agreeing with them... Then they try to tell me how great CoD4 was. What the hell!? They were the EXACT SAME GAME, at least on a gameplay level. The campaign was just different levels with no core changes, and the multiplay was the exact same thing with a few new gimmicks stuck on. Someone explain how you can love one and hate the other when they're the same thing?
