Zombieland
How could someone not like Zombieland?
On 4chan's /tv/ (Television & Movies) there was a lot of discussion about how it wasn't as funny as Shaun of the Dead and how the acting was crap and a whole bunch of other stuff. I dunno, I personally thought it was a good Z-movie.
Oh, well 4chan is full of Wankers.
Literally.

I liked The Village and Year One, despite most people hating them.

"Airplane!". Watch it now. Watch it NOW.
Dude...everyone LOVES Flying High/Airplane!

My vote is for Sahara, and to a lesser extent, Waterworld.
One thing, how could anyone not love Airplane, that movie is genius,

Second, I liked Waterworld as well, but was disappointed by Sahara. The book is a lot better. There were some parts that they couldn't put in a hollywood movie that were awesome.

Thirdy, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I loved it.

The Prestige. My friends didnt understand it.
To be fair, you're never told what period of time they're in and it can get hard to follow. It's not overly complicated other than that though.

OT: I really like Star Wars. In fact, I really like the Star Wars prequels the mostest out of all of them. And I think The Phantom Menace is good. In fact I'd go so far as to say it's -

*Slumps face first into desk*
Actually, in "The Prestige" you're fairly clearly told it's the turn of the twentieth century a couple times. You could also maybe get the hint from the references to Edison and Tesla.

I didn't like Phantom Menace on the first go around, but now that Darths and Droids has completely awesomized it I find it way better.

OT: I really like the movie "Ratatouille" and many people I know were pretty 'meh' about it.
I really liked that film O:). I had Remy as my display picture on MSN for 2 days after seeing the film... [/sad]

War of the Worlds. I really enjoyed that film, although the little girl's constant screaming got really annoying.

Pulp Fiction.
So many of my friends hated that movie, but it's my favorite film ever.
And I don't see why, cause it sucks! Almost as bad as Inglorious Bastards, that movie made my cry it was so poor...

Kung Fu Knights was awesome, most of my friends didn't like it tho... It's with Jackie Chan, whats not to like!

A couple spring to mind.
Hudson Hawk and Last Action Hero. Ok, normally I like more refined films and these aren't Bergman by any stretch of the imagination, but Hudson is friggin' awesome! Another friend and I have a theory that it's too hard to categorise. Is it Comedy/Crime/Action/Musical/Whatever? And with L.A.H it's kinda hard to take the piss out of Ah'nuld, when every frame of screen time he's in he's doing it twice as hard. Not movies you watch every week, but nice once a blue moon.

Nobodies mentioned any Wes Anderson Movies (Bottle Rocket/Rushmore/Royal Tenenbaums/Life Aquatic with Steve Zisou/Darjeling Limited and the most recent (and HIGHLY recommended) Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Generaly Andersons' movies are insanely praised by critics, but criticly molested by the man in the street. Personally I love them. Same Goes for the Coen brothers.

Most Aussies between the age of 18 to 26 will know people who HATE Blade Runner (one of the Best movies EVER), because "They had to study it to death in High School"

At least they aren't Twilight. (Which reminds me has anyone started a "Films everyone loves but you would rather eat a dumpster full of cold fermented faeces than watch"? Because I think I may have a candidate.)

Watchmen. Everyone I know, EVERYONE, says it was a load of pish. I've never read the book, so did a little research before I watched it and I came out more than pleased... mainly due to Rorschach being so badass it almost made my eyes explode ("I'm not locked in here with you, YOUR LOCKED IN HERE WITH MEEEEEEEE!!!").

Repo the genetic opera. I don't see why so many people hate it. I shows us what can be done when you break with tradition and convention and recombine existing genres in new and creative ways. And I just had to laugh when the father is 'reposesing' the guys spine while hes talking with his daughter over their communicators and she asks 'what's that?' and he says 'Ah its one of my patients..it looks pretty grim.'

A lot of people did not like that 1998 Godzilla movie. Apparently the Godzilla in the film got fans heaping mad because it was not the same Godzilla they had come to be fans of. Just sit back and watch a damn good monster film people.

I actually thought the new Indiana Jones was pretty good. Then again I wasn't tainted by the view of most people that the old indy films where flawless masterpieces. Also, I fail to see how aliens are any more farfetched than a facemelting box with god in it.
