This is why we need morals and a slightly more unforgiving judicial system. And I'm udderly disgusted. And were we not in A civilized society I'd advocate having them shot for being complete idiots/insesitive morons. But as it is I'd rather they be fired and the kid drummed out of school and put on his ass on the street

stop ripping on texas; humanity has a pretty proportional spread of ignorant, useless, amoral sheep with completely clusterf**ked priorities, all things considered.

but to lower one's faith in humanity would require that one have some left to begin with (and if you did, damn good job, how did you make it this long?). personally, i find this article hilarious. absolutely side-splitting. im exited, even; i cant wait to see what we do next.

will an abortion clinic bomber be elected pope?

will glen beck become president?

will a man be fired from his early morning job because his entire family being murdered late at night took a bit of time attending to?

so we'll go through unacceptable events such as these until we go the way of the greeks, completely f**k everything up and kill ourselves, just for someone else to come along, start over, and completely f**k everything up again.

rinse and repeat a dozen or so times and you have a fairly accurate description of human history. im not too concerned about another victorian era hyper-repression really; marriages assigned from childhood by your parents will certainly simplify the whole process.

happy halloween everyone :)

One of the major defects with the American education system is the near inability to really remove a kid from the classroom environment. Someone has to educate them, even if they are kicked out of one school.

Why the fuck are you people all ripping on Texas for this?

Newsflash: Texas isn't where culture goes to die. That's Kentucky.

Anyway, that's total bullshit. That school needs to burn.

Sigh. Glad to see that old-fashioned idea of abusing the VICTIM persists.
It's that sort of fucked up logic that makes me reconsider my position on capital punishment.

Wow. Just wow.

Also allowing the charge to be lowered from rape to assault? I'm pretty sure those are on two entirely different emotional scales.

Not if theyre a rapist. Rights be damned you violated someone elses rights and body you deserve to be an uneducated bum who dies early. One more chance I'd say. Fuck up and you're out forever. How old was he? He should have known better. There is no lower form of life on this planet than rapists. (In my opinion).

FUCK YOU. You are rednecks and we are actively praying to every god that we can think of with the intent of making you secede, thus sparing us any further embarrassment.
Love, the rest of the country.
Come on everybody, lay off Texas. Like all of you don't have senseless dumb-fucks (like the people involved in this incident) in the places where you live. Stop generalizing all texans as senseless rednecks who are all just as mentally skewed as these poisonous assholes.

That would be like condemning Australia because they've got spiders the size of golden retrievers. Texas usually has a better sense of justice (and common sense) when it comes to these things.

And may the record show that Tx. is quite industrialized, and doesnt house the vast sea of rednecks you seem to think it does. Most people I know (myself included) hate rednecks/sports-above-all-else fuckheads.
I would make the same statements about my state. Yes I generalized and I believe that no matter where you are, 51%+ of people or more are sane reasonable people, but at the same time we all hear stories about Texas, and the stereotype is kinda negative in most parts of America, do I think all people from Texas are insane gun lovin yuppys no, but at the same time when I hear that the Texas School Board, who has control of most of the text book production in the United States wants to sensor what we learn in our textbooks, I think more negatively of the state and Ill admit thats a boo boo on my part, but I will proudly call my state the hypocrite state, just for clarification the state I live in is Wyoming and our Motto is "The Equality state" though all you get here is a bunch of people who openly bash minorities, Gays, Blacks, and Mexicans mostly, we live in a very conservative state, and although I understand that not all conservatives think this way, many people base there opinions on ignorant bigoted statements not on modern opinions such as homosexuality being a choice, and of course this made me think that all red states think this way, as a majority.

I really hope everyone here is signing the petition to make the school issue a public apology and whatnot.

Actually, no, I wont rip on texas. I'll instead rip on stupid people for putting equally if not greater stupid people in positions of authority.
Sorry for the hate texans. theres stupid people everywhere

someone else who watches the Distressed Watcher! Nice!!

OT: This is really fucked up and I find it ironic that us gamers the violent, sex crazed, psychopaths that the media wants to make us out to be find something wrong with this but the sane, clean moral citizens who hate us don't.

huh weird... also can someone give me the link to the petition because that case reeks of bullshit!

It's crap like this that gives Texas a bad name.

Dear fellow Texans,

Cut it out with this shit or else the entire world will just continue thinking of us as a bunch of backwater cow-rapists.

I take it they're big on commas in Wyoming? I understand that it may be a conservative state, but its OK to use a period every once in awhile.

I'm sorry, I know you were trying to make an important statement, but if I were you I would first get my (heaviest redneck voice I can muster) EJ-A-MA-KAY-SHUN, before I started taking stabs at somone elses state.

Hey democrats not even willing to read the full article but are instead just blaming Texas. 1. Yes it is sad but he was convicted. 2. If she had trouble she shouldnt have joined knowing he was on football. 3. ITS THE SCHOOLS FAULT THIS COULD HAPPEN ANYWERE! Geez people come on stop being one minded.
Took longer than expected for your type to come crawling out of the woodwork. Must be because you guys have a hard time making straight-faced posts whenever Texas inevitably screws, sodomizes, and kicks the pooch over a cliff.
I'd expect nothing less from a ill minded person from you.
If you're going to say silly things, refrain from replying to me. You're not exactly an IMDb-level troll. You're GameFAQs at best.

Dude, seriously? This kind of shit can happen anywhere; and I do mean anywhere. Don't be mad at Texas, be mad at the society that allows the kind of entitlement that leads to these kind of abuse, but most of all be mad at the asshole that raped the poor girl in the first place. News flash: stories like this come from California and Texas because they're two of the most populous states therefore things happen there more just because of sheer numbers. I'm a Texan, and damn proud of it and you can bet that most of us are just as pissed off about this as you are if not more. This is for all you guys saying "that's Texas for you". The problem isn't geography, and it's not unique to the American South/Southwest. The problem is people being assholes, and that is the only universal constant. I've never considered myself one of "those" Texans, but this just pisses me off. When you place the blame on anyone other than the person responsible for something like this, you do severe injustice to the victim.

Dear, Xenophobic "rest of country":

Wow way to be close-minded. Just because us Texans are different, you gotta hate us, don't you? No, I don't agree with the story, but at least I don't go and insult an entire state because of one school. You certainly aren't helping us get out of the redneck stereotype by showing us that, by what you say, everyone else hates us. You are driving us to become like you, xenophobic, and it's just not very nice.

Love, Texas.

When your a cheerleader, you have to cheer for your team. If you don't want to, you don't have to, but you won't be on the team.
