Honestly, most of the demo didn't seem scripted to me anyway. Uncharted 3 already had contextual melee attacks (like when he slammed that guy's head into the dresser) and enemies yelling "He's out of ammo" when you....ran out of ammo. How much harder would it be to program them to charge you when you run out of ammo, or not to fire if you have a hostage?

The only thing that stood out to me was Ellie's interventions. They were very....Well timed. I'm still quite skeptical about that, but then again, there's nothing wrong with "scripted" if it's still good.

Sure it wasn't scripted.

Doesn't stop it from being incredibly linear though.
Yay, bandwagons are fun! Also, you're being quoted a lot for a legitimately good reason: There's nothing wrong with linearity.
They have said that Ellie will intervine at random times if she is able to.

I would love to believe that. The game looks appealing enough as it is and like someone said, if it's true, then it has become a day one purchase for me.

But sadly, I don't believe it. An E3 demo unscripted? What if his character dies? What if it glitches? What if he goes the wrong direction and stumbles upon a "Now we walk for a while!" moment that bores audiences? No, they can't afford to do that. They would either have to a 100% sure they have a perfect game ready at that point or incredibly dumb.

I do believe, however, on unscripted game presentation for small clips for shows. I was watching game Trailers and they showed some guy playing RE6 who dies while they were showcasing it. Same with ZombiU. So yeah, that's actually fine. It's a small room, it's a TV show, no major risks and dying every now and then is actually fine at that point. But during a conference, you wanna dazzle everyone.

According to ign and destructoid it was unscripted.

If they're telling the truth, then this game just went from 'mildly interesting' to 'day one purchase'.
This. I am always very critical of what is shown at E3, but if this game actually looks and feels like it did in that demo, then holy shit...

The only thing that is new and stands out is Ellie but even that doesn`t seem to be impossible. She goes into stealth mode when you do, or when she notices enemies nearby and picks up bricks. She helps you if it`s against one enemy. They have linear levels and can base her behaviour on awareness parameters working for both sides.
There is much that was already in Uncharted 3.
The goons in the batman games grab stuff from the suroundings and use it. I don`t see why it shouldn`t be possible that Ellie can do it to, without a script.

As for the graphics to me they look like Uncharted with slightly more realistic models. This isn`t ment as a downside. ND has reached such a high level that it must be hard to top themselves with every new release.

Watchdogs had an open world feel with great weather effects, high resolution textures and impressive lightning (the reflections on the cars after the fire fight started where heavy. I doubt that this is possible on a current gen console). Strip the effects away and it looks like the final Assasins Creed with Desmond as the only main character, that`s what we get on console.
For the pc gaming mastarace this could be fun.

All I can say is this game just completes my general consideration for getting a PS3 and (most probably) neglecting my Xbox. It looks and sounds amazing, and there were already all those other PS3 exclusives like Uncharted and Journey that intrigued me.

And Ellie helping out is an excellent touch.
