Demons/Devils. They can be inside you, outside of you, real, imaginary, big, small, sexy, ugly, bloodthirsty, manipulative, they can pretty much be whatever the author wants them to be.

Giant Octopus - not to be mistaken with the Giant Squid, because those things are real creatures. What I'm talking about is the mythical giant octopus, who rises out of the water and stares at you with his beady eyes, before suddenly taking a big bite of of your ship and dragging the rest down with its giant tentacles. There are lots of drawings from the 17th and 18th century of giant octopi as big as an oil tanker, dragging ships to their watery doom. What always bothered me was how the artist could have known what it looked like, because if everyone on the ship died, who would report its appearance?

Of course, you really couldn't make a TV series about a giant octopus it because it lives underwater. But it would make a good disaster monster for a film.

The Kitsune..a good example of a creature that could do with some more mainstream exposure.

Personally though, i just judge the twilight series as totally non-canon to any vampiric lore whatsoever. Besides, we all know Hellsing is not only WAY better, but has the one TRUE vampire: Alucard (read his name backwards)
I just bolded the most unnecessary instructions ever.

This thread is pathetic.

Yes, Twilight is a bad book/movie. No, their version of vampires, aside from sparkles and defects suffering from bad writing, is not any bloody worse then all the other existing vampire versions out there.

Vampires that are bland, one-dimensional villains at all times are just pathetic. There is hardly anything that makes them that different from humans from any point of view - and guess what, there are humans that you could label as "good" as in they don't rape and pillage, and there are humans that you could label as "bad" if they're mass serial killers who do it in especially juicy fucked up way.

Most of you people just fucking want to have the kind of "bad guys" in your media that you could look at and say "hurrr it's a bad guy" despite knowing no information about the character whatsoever. Oh, and don't forget oversized shoulder spikes and names like "Dr. Malicious", "Mr. Evil", "Count The Bad Guy" etc.
Yes because you know what other people are thinking or what they want. Then again why I'm responding to such drivel is beyond me :p. I guess you succeeded in trolling.

Not having seen Twilight, vampires are still good in my mind and Being Human has made them better, but I would have to go werewolves.

Vampires are still okay, we as the gaming community simply need to acknowledge and state publicly that the Twilight "vampires" simply are not anything of the kind. They're super-people with blood lust, that's it.
