actually i thought that the calculator and that group of the BoS owned the midwest, am i wrong on that?
Well, Fallout Tactics is not exactly canon.

The Brotherhood in the Midwest was in a state of decline during F3, you could ask Scribes Rothchild or Jameson. They were facists anyway, no one cares about them. :p

It's been established that Caesar's Legion is really, really huge, though.

Ashur is too reasonable to not trade with one of the biggest powers on the East Coast.
There's nothing that says the Brotherhood is the biggest, though. There's the mysterious and very powerful city of Ronto in Canada, and the Legion owns all of the Midwest.
I thought the midwest brotherhood owned the midwest. Also you forgot to factor in all the Enclave tech the BoS got after they defeated them. Not to mention the tesla cannon. mmmm tesla cannon.

What I said to Silverwolf, basically.

And just because the Brotherhood has a bunch of pre-war gadgets from the Enclave doesn't mean that Ronto doesn't have something more fearsome, or that those gadgets can stop the literal flood of Legion conscripts.

they where in every other fallout game, so they'll probably be in new vegas.
Um, no. Like I said to everyone else in the thread, they won't be reappearing. It's been taken from the words of the prophet JE Sawyer.

The Viper raider clan actually held pretty well against original West Coast Brotherhood patrols. They even managed to kill a member of the Maxson clan, but they couldn't withstand the ensuing all-out war. They were a bunch of raiders.

The Legion is made of wasteland-hardened tribals who know the land much better than the Brotherhood's soldiers. It's a recipe for disaster on both sides...

The Enclave are everywhere, they're probably just waiting for for the two major groups in Vegas to finish murdering each other so they can mop up.

The Enclave are actually a very small group. Even if they are "everywhere" (which is about 4 locations according to PoseidoNet), there'd be very few of them left.
The developers will figure out some way to get them in Vegas, I've got this feeling.

Such as Enclave commanders with mercenaries under them and trained Enclave only working as officers and coordinators, for instance.
They've got a lot of resources, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to buy the minds of some mercenaries, chuck them some good gear, bit of cash and say "get to it".

Firstly, as I've been saying for the entire thread, the Enclave has been confirmed as "Not showing up."

Second, any self-respecting Enclave official would sooner whip out his laser sidearm and cap himself than let any wasteland MUTANT into a division under his command. They're taught this from birth.

I think the Enclave will be a minor threat in this game. A side villain, because they're too busy getting their shit together.
They literally have no shit to get together. Enclave holdings were very limited even while the Oil Rig was intact. They had SAC and the Iron Mountain facility to go with Navarro, and maybe NORAD. After Raven Rock and Adams AFB were destroyed, the Enclave has nowhere to go, even if there were any survivors.

Good to know the Enclave isn't going to be the main villain. Now I just have to hope there isn't some Master 2.0 nightkin edition or some other way of using the super mutants as the main antagonist.
Actually, the teaser for Fallout Online has some graffiti that reads "THE MASTER LIVES". :p
True. I've only played FO3, so I presumed there was at least a few dudes on the west coast to do said shit get togethering.

Well, there's your problem. All the dudes on the West coast went East. You should go play the old Fallout games anyway, before Bethesda pulls the plug on Interplay selling them.

Perhaps certain elements are more relaxed about interacting with "mutants"?
I mean, in the second Fallout game, you could convince a load of Enclave to fight for you by basically going "we're all mutated, this thing's gonna murder us all".

I could see an isolated Enclave group acting like this out of desperation.

Perhaps they're not showing up in Vegas, but, well, it's still fun to talk about all this stuff, I think.

The reasoning behind the helpful scientists was the fact that the Arroyo tribesmen and women (of which you were one) were as close to pure humans as you could get without being Vault stock.

And yeah, it is fun to talk about. That's why I'm arguing about it. :p

I should. Next time I have some extra cash I'll try and get that 1, 2 and Tactics bundle thingy.

They're all actually on Good Old Games, if you want to shell out a little more for a little less. Tactics is fun, but not all that good with story. (There's a lot of poop jokes. It's not funny.)

The Enclave make great villains, and Sarah Lyons does mention that the Elder, her dad, has them on the lookout for Enclave Reinforcements along the borders. But she was of the opinion, as am I, that they would need a long time to recover from that beating we gave them.

If we face the Enclave it'll likely be whatever was left on the West Coast. That bumper sticker on the eyebot could have just been local - the mom might have sent her kid all the way to D.C. and such.

But I doubt they'll include them in this game, we only just got back from Fallout 3 so a change of pace is in order. Now, the only canon Fallout game without the Enclave was Fallout 1 which had the Master and the Super Mutant threat.

What if, and this is a big if, we face the Master in some sort of reincaration? Some offshoot experiment from the Maripose Base?

Can't wait to find out.

Hoooly moley, you never played the old games, did you?

Firstly, like I've said throughout the thread, the Enclave all went East. If there are any left on the West coast, they aren't the military type.

Second, the FEV inside of Mariposa is crazy diluted. It can barely make the second generation super mutants and Deathclaws, let alone a Second Master.
